Oh, wow, I had no idea this was coming out this week!

And I'm sorry, Scarecrow, but the inclusion of
Spoiler:
Condiment Man
in your fear gas is self-defeating!

He isn't even a Bat Rogue yet got a Heroclix. One of three comedians who are under Joker's spell in one episode of Batman:TAS. I thought Killer Moth, Calander Man, and Cat Man were the triumvirate of loser villians. Condiment King was a one off joke in an animated episode. Also, as you say, if you are trying to tap into fears why him? Michelanglo having a nightmare over sentient pizza is campy in itself and where would condiments come in? This is pizza! Sorry, rant over. The Spook would have worked better if you wanted obscure. Also, if you want in the show itself, why not Mad Hatter who is not pictured?

I do love seeing Batman, Robin, and Batgirl working together! Its the true highlight of reading these five issues!

OMG, I just checked out the panel with Joker wearing Shredder's helmet while on the phone with somebody. That is so friggin crazy. I'm starting to see why they figured the Nickelodeon TMNT and the 90s cartoon Batman were both such good candidates for this story. Both these iterations probably hold the record for largest rogues gallery from their respective properties. You definitely couldn't do this sorta plot with the Adam West Batman and Fred Wolf Ninja Turtles as their cast of villains was quite limited.

Fred Wolf's cast of villains was pretty extensive...

I beg to differ on Batman '66 rogues. The recent comic book revival proved there was no shortage of familiar and obscure villains to pull from the back catalog, and they even got bold enough to 66-ize a few more recent DC mainstays.

Be cool if IDW were to do that with the Archie series at some point.

They showed Batman's rogues and they showed some obscure characters like Red Claw, the Ninja, the underground sewer guy who taught kids to steal, and even joke characters like the Condiment King.

Pretty nice issue. Joker wearing Shredder's helmet was cool. Also liked the way the plot wrapped up so quickly with Shredder taking charge.

This has been good fun.

I might like this crossover better than the last! They've really nailed the voices of all the characters and left a lot of room for them to play off one another, all the while providing a pretty solid and entertaining storyline. I was expecting the Joker to be the main antagonist of the final issue so it was a cool surprise to see how this one wrapped up. Plus Sommariva art =

Spoiler:
How did Hatter create a portal? Isn't mind control his thing? I know there's probably not a Batman villain with the ability to create portals (at least I think there isn't, Batman has been around for 80 years, so maybe there is) so maybe it would have made more sense to go with Brainiac or something?

Yes, superb as usual. Loved every page. And Sommariva finally got used to drawing Dick on model. I think Tim is gonna be Robin in #6, and the solicit says "months have passed", so hopefully Dick is Nightwing even if that doesn't exactly jive with the DCAU timeline.

I've been enjoying this crossover more than the previous one, but I did not expect this series to produce some "favorite Batman moments." This issue totally did it for me:

Spoiler:

The presence of the Turtles in these two pages is inconsequential. Instead, it's the picture of a focused master who has learned to focus on the ultimate goal inspiring his younger chums to do the same.

Also, nice shot of Batgirl and April here, just because:

Agreed with every word.

The problem is that the story moves so fast and there isn't enough time for character moments. Loved what we got though.

The Tim/ Jason hybrid will unfortunately be Robin in issue 6. I love reading Robin and Batgirl every chance I get. Might I say moreso than the Nick Turtles.

i actually like this Batman/Tmnt better as well.

the other one was great and all, but it was way too much build up and show/no tell, with a quick sprint to the finish.

this mini-series may be cartoony, but at least it gets right into it.

Here's my full summary and review of Batman/TMNT Adventures #4 at TMNT Entity.

Scarecrow's my favorite Bat-villain, even if his shtick is the same every time you see him. Still, he got us that awesome half-splash of all the Batman rogues, including a bunch of nobodies.

The revelation that the Joker isn't the end boss of the miniseries was a great surprise, too. This mini's been a whole lot of fun.
