I know it’s not a collecting guide but for reference to the uniqueness of what was shown, and to give reference to what wave figures are from, I think just one large collage showing all the figures/vehicles from a given year instead of just listed would have been great. Thumbnails would have been good. I know I had to good some waves so I could see what other figures were referenced, especially when viewing undressed items.

Perhaps something to think about if you do an updated volume.

I ordered mine on Sunday and can't wait check it out. I'm hoping it will reveal a lot of backstory/history behind some of the more weirder/obscure characters.

I'm also hoping somebody at Super7 has or will get this book, since they are making figures based on the vintage Playmates toys.

I just ordered mine today. I am going to read it and give a review on my facebook fan page but I am pretty excited about this for the canceled figures.

Concept designs, unproduced sculpts, etc but specially commentary on the design process for the figures and sculpts. Something like (and I am making this up) "Oh I remember Shredder, we gave him blue armor because in comics, blue is often used as highlighting and we couldn't give him silver paint because it'd be out of budget."

I looked at one of the youtube reviews and it seems to have a little, but mainly wax sculpts which, while interesting, isn't too captivating and I can see a bunch of them on IG.

Just thought I'd chime in, since the feedback here seems to be mixed.

I had the idea, incorrectly, that this book was going to be a year-by-year, figure-by-figure sort of collector's guide. While I still do want that book, I think this book is pretty incredible. As a lifelong TMNT fan, specifically someone who has spent a lot of time (and money lol) on the vintage toy line, I learned a ton of new stuff. A lot of thought and care went into this book.

Holy f**k. Even as someone who does all they can to investigate and document rare and unproduced TMNT stuff... there is just SO MUCH that I had never seen or heard of!

Dopest book I've gotten since Nieli's artbook.

Mine arrived last night. While I haven't had time to really delve into it, I've flipped through it briefly and it is GORGEOUS. What an impressive tome; this is crucial to any fan of the Vintage TMNT toys and era.

I also kind of thought this book would be a year by year collector's guide. At first I was disappointed but there is so much good stuff in there that as soon as I let go of my original assumption, I was able to enjoy the book.

I hope they make a companion book that IS a year by year guide though. Would look great on the shelf with each other.

I ordered this last week but have gotten no status updates. Paranoia setting in that I just flushed more money down this vaporware book drain... ????

Yeah, it's a long process from when you send him your money to when you see your product. However, when you do get it (about 2-3 weeks) the book rocks. Pretend you ordered it from BBTS and that's about the timeline

Thanks for the heads up. I'll delay sobbing into my pillow for a few more weeks.

I'm self published. It's literally me packing up and shipping every single book by hand. Also, it's media mail, so the shipping is rather slow. As you can see just from this thread, everyone is getting their books.

Feel free to drop me an email and if it has shipped, I can look up the tracking # and send it to you.

I am about 100 pages into the book so far and it is marvelous. I am waiting until I finish the book to do a full review for my tmnt page. It is a great read so far and is pretty cool to see all this information pilled together.

I see the site says the book's sold out. Is there any chance this book might get a re-release?
