I don't see any problems with this. It makes the characters a lot more interesting when done right. Things aren't necessarily as clean-cut for the Turtles as "Alright, these guys are bad, we'll fight them, and these guys are good, we're their friends." And it allows for growth in these characters who used to be villains. Though, in all honesty, I think the case where something like this has been done the best is pretty much the opposite of every other case- Splinter. He used to 100% be the good guy, but that changed and at this point he's in a very morally grey area. This is easily the best version of his character we've ever seen and, to me, he's the most interesting character in all of TMNT. |

That much is true in terms of how the writers intended it: I guess when I implied LH was a villain in this so far, I was moreso referring to the reception of the comics, as opposed to the comics themselves: it seems natural to label characters in anything as black and white even if it's clearly defined that they're a shade of grey.

Thanks for the sneak peek. While I remember reading confirmation elsewhere that Slash is dead for good, Mikey's eulogy does lift my own spirits a bit.

Am I the only one who is sad that Old Hob isn't at the memorial service?

More scary and ominous than sad, really. That cat is gonna go off the rails big time after what happened, and the more time he spends mulling it over by himself, the worse it'll be when it happens. I hope we see Hob really cut loose with the ruthless, bloodthirsty vengeance in City at War.

Does anyone look at Splinter's foot-throne in the recent issues and see the dragon surrounding it? It's not just for the design there! The Foot and the Dragon will definetely meet on the road to 100.
How cool would it be, if Bishop would nuke Burnow island with only Ch'rell escaping. His vendetta would come to an end with opening the Bishop-suit and killing old-baby-Bishop. Then Ch'rell would enter the Bishop suit, seek a new army to lead, wrestle for the control of the Foot clan in Shredder's armor, and then with a lighting ball Shredder would be resurected in the Bishop-Ch'rell body, fusing two minds into one. (the real Oroku Saki body would be taken by the Dragon Lord) Then it would be TMNT2003 all over again, with Utrom Shredder leading the Foot and fighting with the turtles against dragons |

Only if John transfers his conscience into a duplicate body ala 2003 cartoon. If do I would be fine with the above.

Completely unrelated showerthought:
The writers revealed that the original plans for Dark Leo were that he found out that he was Saki's son or something, yeah? Which would potentially make him Kitsune's son as well. In that context, Leo having a special spiritual powers would actually make a lot of sense. |

Isn't that throne the same as Shredder's?

Great preview though.

From Ban Bates' twitter:
@DustinWeaver12 and I are figuring out what new character to introduce in our next B&R miniseries and we figure lets get a public vote. Weve got a guy who is either Butt Brain, his brains are made of butts, or Brain Butt, his butt is made of brains. Most votes win! Maybe it's just a joke, but maybe not. |

I am so, so happy that we're getting another B&R mini. They have no right to be as enjoyable as they are, but they've easily managed to be two of my favorite TMNT comics of all time.

Makes sense to do a trilogy. Probably would focus on what they'd be doing up until they show up in City At War.

Wouldn't that be what Hit The Road covered? So perhaps after City at War? Bebop and Rocksteady Conquer The Universe, a space adventure!
