Opened my Leo today, very satisfied with it. The articulation is great!

My Meijer in Fort Gratiot MI had a lone Turtle Tank out which I picked up but no figures
Another Meijer had the Sewer playset Checked all my Walgreen's and got nothing, I asked one of the workers and they were like "what's rise tmnt" pretty frustrating people don't know after 30 yrs |

I found Mikey and an Origami Ninja at my local Walgreens (Upstate, NY). I bought Mikey right away and left the Origami Ninja. However, I'm a sucker and went back two days later and bought him as well.
I know these guys will be cheaper in Walmart and Target, but a) I'm eager for these new figures, b) my Target and Walmart typically sell out of new TMNT stuff fast and c) I didn't feel like ordering them online because that sucks the fun right out of it for me. I love finding Playmates TMNT figures in the wild. I'm hoping to find the rest of the turtles, Splinter and April sometime soon. |

I don’t blame you, new toyline is always an exciting time every few years. I was half compelled to by the Mikey I found yesterday, but want to buy some of the villains first.
I watched the first episode as well, not sure how I feel about the story yet, but the animation is definitely fun!

The show hasn't really drawn me in much, sorta tempted to check out the figures for fun though. I think I'l just wait for them to be stocked at Target or something. I can wait 2 weeks +.

Still not feeling the show, but I'm loving the figures. The Origami Ninja is weak to me because it's ridiculously hard to stand, and that means posing is out of the question. I have a Raph and Donnie, and love the differences between the two. I'll probably end up buying the lair when it's on sale. The toys have improved since the last series IMO.

Does anyone know if the lair is suppose to be out with the first wave of figures?

So when I checked during my weekly visit today my Walgreens has indeed started a small toy section. Not too many things put out yet, but the shelf price stickers were in place. Not a damned one of them was anything about TMNT though.
No sign of anything at Walmart either. Though I'm not terribly surprised, we always seemed to be kind of late on stuff last time too. Though if there were things waiting in the back to go out you'd think they'd have started on them by now, esp since the action figure aisle in my store hasn't exactly been stocked all that well for some time. |

How are people finding how the figures hold the weapons?
Based on an early review of Raph, it looked like the Tonfas couldn't be held properly. |

The prices on Amazon are down to $8.94 per basic figure with Prime shipping. Leo is still 10.99 but i am sure will drop in the next few days/weeks.
i just ordered the 4 brothers and says i should be getting them OCT 3. |

I just went to amazon to check this out and it looks like Leo dropped too. I preordered all 4 for 8.94 a piece. Thanks for the heads up on this and now I can stop driving to random Walgreens stores.

Thats awesome! i plan on getting all of them on Amazon if they keep the prices low. I think with Toys R Us out that Amazon will be carrying a lot more toys with prime shipping.

I prefer amazon since I get reward points on my amazon card. target.com is good too, since you get 5% off everything with REDCard. I'm glad amazon is price-matching walmart's prices on this wave. We might not get that lucky on some of the future figures if history is any indication.

Apparently there's "storage shell basic" rise turtles on the target dpci data base. Worth waiting for those instead or just try waters with a basic for now?

Ha, I figured those would be a sure thing, but so soon?
I'd hold out, personally. The basic turtles head sculpts leave a LOT to desire. Maybe the SS turtles will have more show-accurate ones.
