If you read the prequel comics, Raphael wasn't the first Nightwatcher, he took over for an old man who was doing it before. Looking like a turtle isn't a requirement.

Not to mention it's pretty friggin' stupid for any ninja turtle to have an alter ego & big bulky costume. As it is, they're weighed down by their shells & weapons, adding 100's of pounds of metal armor would only slow them down.

All this hand wringing over this character being named that (like Bludgeon in the last comic issue) seems rather nitpicky to me.

Bludgeon is clearly a different situation. We can have two mutants of the same kind. No one cared when we had both Tokka & Slash. & in either case, they're different species' anyway. With "Nobody", it's the fact that it's just another "HEY LOOK, NOSTALGIA!" moment. Name dropping.

We haven't seen Angel at all since the Mutant Town arc started, right? Since she was usually paired with Alopex they can't do that anymore since humans aren't allowed in mutant town.
So now she's just forgotten. |
