You know I've been following your Turncoat comic since way back... before 2001. So seeing some never-before-revealed pieces from the work-in-progress stage is just so satisfying. Back in the day, ambitious TMNT fanart was in scarce supply, as there was no real equivalent to Deviantart or Twitter or wherever else folks post art nowadays. And even today, TMNT fan comics that stay faithful to the source material are pretty rare. So seeing how ideas might have been developing in your head is great. The first new page is my favorite, as it seems the most developed story-wise. It's funny to see Raphael hiding in the bushes (in the park maybe?) and none of the other three turtles even have the faintest clue he's around. Makes one think he'd been following April around, taking care not to tip his brothers off. And the dialogue suggests this would have been the first new event to occur after the painful conclusion of TT Part 1, where Raphael's breakdown injures Splinter, incurs the wrath of his brothers, and ends with a tearful moment with April. The actual Part 2 begins with April's narration that a year had passed already, so it's nice to see how you were wrestling with how to fill in the narrative gap. Ultimately, I think you made the right decision to time jump and then use April's flashbacks to tell the rest of the story. It is sad that Raphael never fulfilled his promise to April to "look her up one day" in the official continuity, so this new alternate development would have been interesting to see what kind of interaction they would have had before he joined up with Shredder the following year. One thing I really appreciate about Turtle Turncoat is how you decided to develop April as a character in your story. In Part 1, she starts out as a shallow, rude journalist and quickly descends into torture-porn cheesecake. But by the end of Part 1 and the beginning of Part 2, it's clear she has become essential to the heart of the narrative that will ultimately be the key to Raphael's redemption. Also, kudos to you on the design for April's "summer wear" cut-off jumpsuit. It reminds me of the outfit she wore across South and Central America between issues 13 and 18 of the Archie TMNT Adventures comic.

I know Alan helped you a lot with improving the dialogue, but don't sell yourself short on the narrative development. I imagine that was mostly your doing, and it was impressive progress over a decade or so. And, if I remember, the original planned ending to Turncoat was quite a bit different from the final product, and I'm very satisfied by the resolution we got.

I meant poses and expressions wise. It is all in my brain so I cannot share an example. I started following this thing in 2010. I thought it had been a while, but this thing started when I was in 8th grade? Dang!

I appreciate the exploration of Dimension X. You are staying true to it as it was depicted in the 1987 cartoon and yet expanding on it.
Oldmanwinters, when you can could you send me a picture of the U.K. coloring book you referenced?
