Khan probably doesn't know much about wrestling. And doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut either.

He should follow the Ted Turner example and hire some people who can run the product properly.

And from what some British people told me, the London football club, Fulham FC, wich is owned by the Khan family, is poorly ran as well. With Tony Khan being the direvtor of football, which means he's responsible for signings of players and managers despite not knowing much about the sport. Usually owners and chairmen leave that to someone else. Clearly Khan thinks he knows everything about every business he gets himself into. Fulham was relegated and is not exactly a top club in England, let me tell you.

I haven't watched AEW in a long time. I kinda lost track of the billion factions and wrestlers they signed.

Khan kinda seems like he actually does know SOME things about wrestling, but... more as a fan. He seems like a big fan with genuine enthusiasm, but... I've worked for a few "money marks", it generally doesn't work.

For one thing, and Khan is definitely guilty of this, money marks are always trying to be "one of the boys", buddying up with them, partying with them, treating them all like their pals. This doesn't work out well in the long run, because eventually you have to fire someone, or take away their push or have them do a job or drop a Title, and then things get awkward. You can't be someone's "friend" AND their Boss, especially not in that f*cking business. But he's trying really hard to do that, and as we can see it isn't going great.

He's also shown that he really can't handle any criticism whatsoever, and that just reflects poorly on everything. Saying things like "If Eric Bischoff knew half of what I know about the wrestling business, WCW would still be in business" makes him look like an idiot, especially when he's doing ALL the same things Bischoff ever got ripped apart for doing, but WORSE. Except when Bischoff was signing ex-WWF guys at high prices, their ratings kept going UP, not down, and the company turned a profit for the first time in their existence. Whereas Khan spends a fortune on Vince's cast-offs, pushes them for two weeks and forgets about them as soon as he buys another shiny new "toy". All the while, even after All That, they can't crack a million viewers and keep it there. People can cry about "streaming has changed the business" all they like, the fact is WWE still gets several million viewers per week despite an abysmal, horrible product. AEW has had three years to get eyes on their product and they've tried every magic bullet; people know they exist, they just completely don't give a sh*t.

I like AEW, despite my "tough love" criticism, but when Khan goes on a rant like he did at the press conference after the last PPV, he makes himself and the company look bush-league as hell. Even Punk was making faces like "What the f*ck is this lunatic talking about?" when Khan was screaming about "WE WON THE FRIDAY NIGHT WAR! JERRY MCDEVITT TESTIFIED TO IT IN F*CKING COURT!" Your biggest star is sitting there right next to you making faces like "Is this clown f*cking serious?", but no, yeah, you're fine, everything's fine. You totally know what you're doing and you're very, very professional.

I'd love for WWE to go under and for ANYTHING to replace it. But Khan really is "Jacksonville Dixie Carter". He has ambition, and he's probably a nice guy, but he's clearly in over his head. He also probably has a cocaine problem, but that's just my own observation.

Last night he was asked if AEW would pay for their employees abortions and he said he's been too busy with Forbidden Door to really think much about that and such a case hasn't come up yet with their employees. In other news, our humble little Diving Cutter Wrestling Podcast (which is now on Spotify, Amazon Music and Samsung Music btw) will hopefully have a very special episode next week. And yes, this is the same podcast that has the legendary international barbed wire superstar Rikki Roxx appear on several occasions, though currently he'll be more on our fighting game related podcast.

I managed to get an interview with the rising indie star KiLynn King and we practiced with Zoom and all that so we're good to go on Tuesday night. The Zoom video will be up on Youtube and Odysee hopefully Wednesday, depending how long editing takes and the audio/podcast version will hopefully be soon to follow.

I don't like to count my chickens before they hatch, but I'll post an update Tuesday night you let you know if things went down.

KiLynn King has been seen on AEW Dark and a few eps of Dynamite, and is currently mostly seen in NWA and CCW. She is the current CCW Women's champ and is currently chasing the title for NWA Women's champ as well.

For those curious, I will be uploading our predictions for Ring of Honor Death Before Dishonor 2022 tonight and we do intend to check out and review Flair's Last Match.
