What did you learn today?

I learned that putting a warm, crunchy, well-toasted bagel in a zip-lock bag is a great way to make it soft (and chewy) again by break time at work. Hm.

That tying bags around one's feet to keep them dry in the rain does not actually work very well.

That plastic tablecloths in the employee break room for the holidays is a terrible idea because people are less inclined to wipe up any mess from their lunch/dinner.

Well, yeah of course. Gelatin are from animal byproduct, primarily pig. Although cow and fish are also being used due to religious inclusion, and there are vegetarian substitutes.

That Clueless is apparently a movie about incest, and googling images of pants returns unexpected results.

Clueless is a modern adaptation of the Jane Austen novel, "Emma."
In Clueless the protagonist, Cher, falls for her ex step-brother.

Dude, why is that? My family will sometimes fire up a batch whose end result is the same, & it's not good (to me, anyway).

I'm thinking over baked? I know my oven doesn't have a temp control and it gets way hotter than what the button says...so things bake at light speed.

BTW after they settled they were fudgy...but the outside was cake like.

So today I also learned not to get mad at the brownies until they have settled and shown their TRUE consistency!

See, we have the opposite problem, it's always lower than what you set it to, plus the temperature fluctuates along the way anyhow. Haven't had any issues with my favorite variation, though. I think they're Betty Crocker, they've got actual chunks of chocolate scattered throughout. My God, so good.
