He said he'd do it in August/September, once they're a year in. I'd imagine the only confusion at that point will be the Infestation Mini's placement.

Indeed, I will post a timeline after year one is complete, but this looks accurate. Infestation 1 & 2 happens before TMNT #7, after Donatello micro.

(though Infestation is extremely self contained.)

The 2 orders for the events of mid/late January are due to a new, approved reading order by Editor Bobby Curnow. According to original editor's notes the April micro took place before the Casey micro and discussion at the time placed the Fugitoid micro in release order after #14. With hindsight Bobby has agreed that the story flows better if the micros are read before their respective thematic arc. There are no chronological problems with either order.

There's one thing I noticed here, I'm nitpicking really but I'm going to say it anyway.

in the Raphael Micro Leo orders the guys to only go out in pairs. Yet Michelangelo is out all alone in his micro. I guess it's reasonable to say he snuck out even though he doesn't mention any of this and no one seems to be looking for him.

I suppose it's because Leo's referring to their training runs, and Mike was just out at the movies and just used that excuse to be gone all day.

Probably for the best. Bobby's just said straight after #6 but it really doesn't matter. I'm gonna move it there for now and if we want to move it again after reading it then we can.

So far my best guess is the guys, especially Don, wanted to clear their heads and get some air after speaking with Splinter. Rooftop race (which ther first page and title seem to imply) would be a fun way to do that.

Finally picking up #8 tomorrow!

Plenty of discussion on this over the last page or 2.

Basically when April came out there was an editor's note from Bobby saying it took place between 12 and 13. Because Casey leads directly into 13 that meant that April had to take place before Casey (Micro 7 before Micro 6).

More recently Bobby has said that the issue fits better thematically between 14 and 15.

Nines has kept the original, chronological, order for his timeline in the first post of this thread. DrSpengler prefers the thematic grouping of the stories so his timeline is in the new order.

For my part I've put both orders in my timeline midway down the first page of this thread.

Neither order is wrong, so read them in whichever order you find suits your tastes best.

No worries.

I think the behind the scenes answer is that all those issues were being written around the same time and hadn't all come out so Bobby may have been worried about a possible continuity conflict when he wrote the original note that appears in the micro. Now everything's out and he can look back on it more clearly and there is not conflict having April between 14 and 15 so he's changed his mind about the placement as April serves as a prologue to 14/15.

hey guys,
For my own benefit, I was looking on the last year of continuity. I think Villain Micro #4: Alopex, fits best after #24. So the following read order:

TMNT #24
Alopex
Karai
TMNT#25

My thinking is that Alopex is pretty readily participating in the actions of #22, and #23/24 happen shortly after that. There is a period of time between #24 and #25, where the events of the Alopex micro could plausibly take place (traveling to Alaska), and in #25, we see her start to question the Foot with Karai, something that would make sense to happen shortly after the events of her Micro.

Anyone see any reason that I might be missing that contradicts that placement?

According to original editor's notes the April micro took place before the Casey micro and discussion at the time placed the Fugitoid micro in release order after #14. With hindsight Bobby has agreed that the story flows better if the micros are read before their respective thematic arc. There are no chronological problems with either order. I'm gonna move it there for now and if we want to move it again after reading it then we can. So far my best guess is the guys, especially Don, wanted to clear their heads and get some air after speaking with Splinter. Rooftop race (which ther first page and title seem to imply) would be a fun way to do that. Finally picking up #8 tomorrow!

Basically when April came out there was an editor's note from Bobby saying it took place between 12 and 13. Because Casey leads directly into 13 that meant that April had to take place before Casey (Micro 7 before Micro 6). More recently Bobby has said that the issue fits better thematically between 14 and 15. Nines has kept the original, chronological, order for his timeline in the first post of this thread. DrSpengler prefers the thematic grouping of the stories so his timeline is in the new order. For my part I've put both orders in my timeline midway down the first page of this thread. Neither order is wrong, so read them in whichever order you find suits your tastes best.

I think the behind the scenes answer is that all those issues were being written around the same time and hadn't all come out so Bobby may have been worried about a possible continuity conflict when he wrote the original note that appears in the micro. Now everything's out and he can look back on it more clearly and there is not conflict having April between 14 and 15 so he's changed his mind about the placement as April serves as a prologue to 14/15.

I think Villain Micro #4: Alopex, fits best after #24. So the following read order: TMNT #24 Alopex Karai TMNT#25 My thinking is that Alopex is pretty readily participating in the actions of #22, and #23/24 happen shortly after that. There is a period of time between #24 and #25, where the events of the Alopex micro could plausibly take place (traveling to Alaska), and in #25, we see her start to question the Foot with Karai, something that would make sense to happen shortly after the events of her Micro. Anyone see any reason that I might be missing that contradicts that placement?
