Looking for old newspaper strips

I used to love collecting the TMNT comic strips from the newspaper! Sadly, my entire collection went into the garbage long ago and now I want to make an attempt to find them here on the internet.

One particular strip I'm looking for is the one where Donatello and Michaelangelo are atop a building discussing New Years resolutions.

If there's anyone out there who can help me, please contact me over PM. I would greatly appreciate it!

You mean this one?

I think it was posted on tOkKa's Flickrstream a while back.

For what it's worth, Comic's Revue collected the series across 20-something issues. I'm not sure how far along the series that is, but it was done without Mirage's approval I know that much. Still, it's the only place the series has been collected.

I've posted this link before, but I don't know if it's the full run of the strip or not-- http://www.gocomics.com/teenagemutantninjaturtles/

I have a question/plea about this newspaper strip:
The GoComics archive is incomplete and I'm not sure how many strips it's missing. A forum search turned up a mention of ninjaturtles.com having an archive of the strip as well, but I don't know if was complete.

Does anyone have an archive of the strip from the point where that GoComics archive stops?

Do the Comics Revue printings collect the whole series?

For ninjaturtles.com I've had a look on the Wayback machine and as far as I can tell there are only 25 strips. Not sure if any of them are the ones missing from GoComics however.

See here. They appear on the first page anyway but to group them together type _ .gif in the filter box.

That is a no, as the books were published for roughly 2 years (~November/December 1991-December 1993).

the strip ran for many years, well into the late 90's.

Well, it may have been every strip up to that point.

We'll need to do a little detective work, but who knows, if we manage to find them all perhaps one day even they can be collected into book form (personal longtime wish ).

These always come up in some sort of online gallery thing that is a pain to have to use, especially if you want to save them. Does anyone have an actual archive of them somewhere as just plain images? That would be infinitely more convenient and future-proof.

My guess is that the GoComics stopped posting with the April 18, 1995 strip and the final strip is dated December 31, 1996. That's 20 months unaccounted for if I got the dates right.

...and I got a little OCD in the Wayback machine this afternoon and have so far come up with about 120 strips from that span. Sadly, they aren't all sequential.

Does anyone have the strips saved from a time when ninjaturtles.com was live and hosting them?

I would love to have those if you're willing to share, man!

Like many fans, I saved all the GoComics stuff and was really disappointed when it all ended soon after the Viacom buyout!

Was there an oversized color strip every Sunday? I don't know that those are archived on GoComics...

Here's all the Strips I dug up today: http://www.mediafire.com/?oqbbprsfq9d69 fresh link: http://www.sendspace.com/file/b0qdi2
Most of it's the same as what's in Jester's DDL, but the Wayback machine archive is new. Renet and Savanti Romero show up in some of those.

Thanks a bunch, wilddiverse! I had no idea Renet and Savanti showed up in the series. I just love Dan Berger's style!

I'm debating "unzipping" all of them and trying to make one big CBR file...is there anyway to determine the year some of these were released in? The day is easy...

EDIT: Oh look....copyright dates...with year....that's too small to read. DRAT dead end!

I'm still more in the acquiring mode than the sorting mode, but assuming the GoComics CBRs are in chronological order, it should be simple enough (though a little tedious) to go through and attach the year. The dates are on them so just start on December 10, 1990.

Personally, I don't see much benefit to them all being in one CBR file, especially before the whole series is found, as it'd be incomplete either way.

True. Though in the renaming the images, I'm figuring out what is missing. So far it seems the Saturday strips (were those "Turtle Tips"?) and Sundays are missing...and maybe a few others in the week. I'll keep you posted.
