27 Dresses- Not bad if you're into chick flicks harcore. James Marsden made this movie.
Sweeney Todd: Demon Barber of Fleet Street- I've been wanting to see this since I first heard about. I absolutely love Depp/Burton team-ups. So I finally got to see this last night, our theatre decided to wait almost a month after the actual release to get it. Rahr! Anyway, I was totally blown away by it. The music, the setting, the mood. It was just all perfect! As soon as the movie let out I ran over to Wal-Mart and bought the soundtrack lol. But anyway, yes, definitely loved the movie. It jumped right to the top of my favorites list. |

Let's see, watched Panic Room the other night. It was good but I didn't find it suspensful, mostly because the mom was a plain-jane, loser divorcee... and her daughter was an ugly little boy who was not funny but never quit with the sarcasm. Then the crooks, Junior was a punk, Raul was too mysterious, and I actually liked Burnham.
Started to watch some s**tty b-movie called Invasion, it was about an alien invasion in a small town, and the whole thing was filmed from the dashboard camera from a cop car. I turned it off after 15 minutes. THEN, I watched 3:10 to Yuma. What an awesome film, my new favorite western. One of my new favorites overall, I loved every minute of it. |

ALien V Predator Requiem.
I'm wishing I hadn't I remembered why I haven't watched any alien movies. Predator I'm fine with, mostly 'casue hes badass. But the aliens give me the fear.

Watched Big Trouble in Little China earlier, which is always a fun movie. I guess it's somewhat of a guilty pleasure now -- like The Evil Dead and Dead Alive.

Just watched Maelstrom in my films of Quebec class. Really great film. Had the right blend of drama, humor, and a lot of symbolism, some of which is still coming to me. I'm about to go buy the DVD.

Last night, I watched the original Texas Chain Saw Massacre and it was pretty good. I wasn't expecting much from it, so that was a good thing.

I saw Cloverfield again. I really love this movie. There are a couple small flaws, but this movie is just great on so many different levels.

Forgot about this thread until I saw the latest posting.
Anyway, I saw "Cloverfield" last week as I said I would...pretty nice payoff for someone who followed the whole ARG that was behind the film! Especially the satellite falling into the ocean at the end. Did you catch what was said after the credits? ![]() And tonight I caught a goofy movie on TV with Tim Robbins and Martin Lawrence, titled "Nothing to Lose". It has some funny moments, so I was pleased. Now, should I see "Rambo" and watch that dude in the Jeep get blasted into a puddle of plasma? Hmmm... |

I just saw Rambo and it was hilariously actiontastic. Also it had a preview for a movie called Midnight Meat Train, which made my friends and a laugh uncontrollably.

The origignal TCM is, hands down, one of the most underrated films of all time, and (IMO), the greatest horror film of all time. I could go on and on about why, but I'll spare everyone here. It's based on a Clive Barker story and directed by an extremely well respected Japanese horror director. I'm looking forward to it.

Last night, I watched a little B movie called Cat Girl and I liked it. I didn't have any problems with it, except I thought there could've been more of a horror element.
Later that evening, I watched Fiend Without a Face and it was alright. I liked the concept and the little flying brain kinda creatures were pretty cool.

It may have a great pedigree, but the title sounds like a bad porno flick. Hence the laughter. I'm not sure the idiots of America will take it seriously with a name like that.

Yesterday, I watched the Bruce Lee movie Return of the Dragon. I haven't seen a Bruce Lee movie in a long time, so it was good to refresh my memory.
Later, I watched David Cronenberg's The Brood. It was good and it's probably right up there with Videodrome in terms of originality.
