This is not a movie I would pay for to see in theaters but I'll watch it when it comes out in HD on the illegal streaming websites. Black Adam came to streaming only 3 months after it was in theaters so I expect the same here.

The first one was well-needed purist fun during a time when everything was dismal, race-swapped or full-on agenda. But the second one looks uninteresting, pencil-whipped by Hollywood, and is going nowhere with a story loaded with "hollywood originals' rather than source material content.

It's going to flop. And it should.

the first post-credits scene begins with The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker characters Emilia Harcourt (Jennifer Holland) and John Economos (Steve Agee) walking through the forest discussing the fact Amanda Waller has set up a meeting between them and "someone."

This mystery person sounds pretty important, but it's just Billy Batson standing there. They start by saying they'd like to offer him a spot "on the Justice..." only to be interrupted with a resounding "Yes!"

Unfortunately, the duo is talking about the Justice Society rather than the Justice League, and the disappointed teenager makes it clear he wanted to be on the main team. Billy proceeds to berate them for misleading them while pointing out they could and should have used a better name for their superhero group (who we first met in Black Adam).

Sivana is still behind bars, albeit with a full-grown beard. He's scribbling on the walls, but is once again met by Mister Mind. Coming through the cell's window, the two-inch alien caterpillar of high intelligence with telepathic powers tells Sivana his plan still needs more time and notes that they will soon have what they need to take over everything.

Saw it! Just like the first one I enjoyed it but probably wouldn't rewatch it. If you didn't like the first one for being too silly then you're likely to be annoyed by this one. The theater didn't have a lot of people in, probably about five or six others. The finale shocked me but I should've known better...

Billy dies at the end with his family at his grave site.Then Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman shows up to Repair the staff and uses it to revive him. His revival was silly and immediately hits on Diana like in his dreams. I know comic book deaths are hardly permanent but this has to be the most pointless death I've seen in a comic book movie.

They had the perfect way 'out' of using Levi with the film's ending and they didn't take it. This isn't a good look for big two capes*it movies either, as both this and Quantomania have 'safe' consequence-free Disney endings.

Didn't the movie have made up villains? It deserved to crash and burn. Imagine a Batman movie where he faced some made up guy named the Punch Master.

If you mean original villains, hasn't this happened in Batman several times though? That's how we got Harley Quinn.

Not the same thing. I'm talking about modern day movies.

Harley was on a cartoon show and already tied to the Joker, who is THE Batman villain. Even if she was a standalone, if you didn't like her, you can always tune in tomorrow for next time to see if the next episode will be about Two Face or whoever.

Not so in movies. 'Tune in next time' is usually years later and a billion dollar budget later. And that's assuming there will even be a next time if you didn't already blow your chances wasting time the first time around.

Absolutely not the same thing. Harley Quinn just as easily could've been a one-off character that nobody responded to similar to anyone of the Joker's goons. The Joker was still there and people happened to like Harley so it gained traction.

Decades and decades of Hollywood making changes and using writers who think they are smarter than the source material, making changes that fans didn't want any part of for decades and decades. And almost everytime they do it, it fails.

They need to learn simply do not deviate from the source material. Stop hiding behind the cliche "we have to do something newwwwwww" and all of the proxy-lies that justify Hollywood BS. Nobody has ever even seen a Shazam big-budget franchise in history, let alone a sequel, e.g., any story you use from the source material is "new".

Also the truth is that the first one wasn't even that great. It was entertaining by comparison of everything else which was littered with woke $#!( at it's time of release. In a normal movie-going atmosphere the first Shazam might've flopped on it's own merits.
