I bought this off eBay today, this is the first VHS I've bought in 10 years or so. I thought the package looked nice and I wanted that mini Leo figure I still have a VHS player so I might give the video tape a watch some time. I haven't watched a VHS tape in years, I'm just feeling really nostalgic lately

I'm shocked that anyone would be producing episodes on VHS in 2003.

I remember seeing the DVD set that came with all 4 mini figures in-box...not individually.

I'm surprised they bring out on some modern movies on VHS. I don't see the point in buying modern movies on VHS, I can understand older movies or shows because it reminds us of the way we watched it during our childhood. Nostalgia is a powerful thing

I ended up buying some Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles VHS tapes from eBay too since the show was called that in Northern Ireland during my childhood That's a picture from the listing, I'm actually waiting on the VHS tapes arriving.

You mean modern movies on VHS at the time? I know some people make custom VHS covers now but not actual tapes.

Yeah they bring some modern movies out on VHS. I see them selling Alien: Romulus on VHS on eBay but it's a bit expensive. I know the Terrifier movies are out on VHS too.

I found them. They’re special edition releases. Well special format.

Ya I have no interest in VHS releases. Not even as a novelty. That’s taking 80s/90s nostalgia too far.

Despite the occasional VHS releases these days, studios stopped putting things out on VHS in 2006.

Back in 2003 near the end of it, I was at a Best Buy. Someone asked about Finding Nemo on VHS, and the associate told him that they no longer stock material on VHS. I hadn't noticed that until I heard him say that. Then I went to other stores like Circuity City, Wal-Mart, Target, and even Blockbuster. They also put an end to stocking VHS titles.

Now the stores, except for Wal-Mart, are no longer stocking any physical media.

Sometimes I'm tempted to do that, to be honest. I had replaced all of the movies I had on VHS with their DVD counterparts once I got a DVD player, and a part of me wishes I had kept them. I even still have the two VCRs that I bought back in 2002. One of them is even hooked up to my TV.

The VHS releases are more expensive than the 4K's I'd go for the 4K release any day over VHS.

Ya and I was thinking when VCRs malfunction they’d sometimes “eat” the tape...when it gets stuck and the actual film is pulled out. If your Blu Ray/4K player breaks you’ll still have the disc.

I really have no nostalgia for VHS even though I grew up with it. I love HD and bonus material.

That happened to a few of my video tapes in the past Video tape boxes seem to get dirtier easier too than DVD cases. A bunch of my video tapes I got back in the 90's and 2000's that I left in my dad's house have mould on them.

I just bought "Bah, Humduck! A Looney Tunes Christmas" and "The Life and Adventures Of Santa Claus" from iTunes so I can watch on my Apple TV library. And why not? It was only $4.99 each.

If you already owned the DVD, you could have used the VUDU/Fandango at Home mobile service Disc-to-Digital $2 option to add the standard-def digital copy to your account, which could then link to all your other streaming accounts if linked through MoviesAnywhere.

Seriously, though, good going, and I enjoy that one. The animation looks really good.

Picked up Reservoir Dogs on 4k from Amazon's sale. The transfer is great - looks like "film" in all of the great ways that it should.

You mean the cardboard ones? The ones that came in snapping plastic cases were nice.

I do have a box of VHS movies in the closet, with cardboard slipcovers. I’d like to donate them to a second hand store or something.

A mix of both cardboard and plastic cases. I still have TV recordings of WWF Smackdown and some other PPV's on VHS which my dad recorded for me back in the 2000's I found a TV recording of the first Scream movie on VHS too

I just watched Alien Romulus the other day for the first time. Man that was a great movie - incredibly well done. Definitely going to have to pick that one up on 4k.....

I realized I hadn't posted something I got back in 2018, and all of 2019.

Digimon Adventure tri. - 6-Film Collection

I got this after getting the six movies individually, as to save some space on my shelf.

Aladdin (Target exclusive with a booklet)
Batman - 4-Film Collection
-It replaces the 1989-1997 Motion Picture Anthology I had on Blu-ray.
Bumblebee
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald
Mary Poppins (Best Buy exclusive steelbook)
-I don't normally buy steelbooks, but when it came out, it had a digital code that would have been valid.
Megabeast Investigator Juspion
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie
Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel
She-Ra: Princess of Power - The Complete Original Series
Spider-Man: Far From Home
Super Sentai: Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger
Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie
Voltron: Legendary Defender - Seasons 3-6
X-Men: Dark Phoenix
