Because Kevin Eastman isn't done with it yet. I love the guy, but they need to quit giving him big projects. Just stick with covers, shorts, and story input.

I figured that was the reason honestly, which is why I am making excuses as to why they don't need to be in order.

It would be odd though for anyone reading TIT (lol) that wasn't familiar with Renet's character. Maybe it will play out more like Star Wars and we will get a reveal half way through as to who this character is and where she came from!

At his panel at HeroesCon, Eastman said the annual would be out soon and apologized that it is now over 2 months behind. Soon could mean anything from a month to a year. I'm sure it'll be awesome but the waiting sucks.

Hi, I have some questions but I don't know where to post it so I'll use this thread if you don't mind.
I've been very busy with work that I haven't been able to keep up with my comics and news and I just found out about Turtles in Time mini-series.

What is it? is it tied with the regular IDW canon? is it gonna be a limited series? Should I start hunting down the issues or just wait for the TPB?
Btw, is the TPB for the Utrom Empire out yet?

I hate all this mini-series and spin offs. I always miss them and have to wait for the TPB

Happy to help. Just a heads up, we have a stickied thread called "Ask a question" as sort of a place for all those little TMNT inquiries we all have from time to time. So if you have other questions about random Turtle stuff, that might be the place to go.

But as to your Turtles in Time questions:

Yes, though between which issues of the ongoing hasn't been made clear, yet.

Yes, just 4-issues. The 2014 Annual will introduce Renet and takes place prior to Turtles in Time, but it won't be released until around mid August at the earliest. According to Paul Allor, you don't need to read the Annual to "get" Turtles in Time.

Should I start hunting down the issues or just wait for the TPB?

Well, that's really up to you. If one is easier than the other, then you might as well go that route. Only 1 issues has been released so far, so catching up won't be hard.

btw, is the TPB for the Utrom Empire out yet?

I haven't seen it anywhere nor heard it mentioned; I'm guessing since TMNT #37 came out today they pushed it back to next week to space out their releases
