Why over six months for one issue of TLR?

I mean, it’s essentially two issues, but still, what the hell? Lol

Yeah, it's a little bit weird as the solicitation details literally changed overnight between my two posts.
It originally listed Mirage v1/#1 - 15, Tales v1/#1 - 5 and the five one-shots for a total of 25 issues but is now missing issues #8 and #15.

Stranger still the page count has increased from 800 to 832 since my second post, which doesn't seem to make sense if there's fewer issues included, however I don't know what the actual page counts for the original comics would add up to so the higher number may actually be correct.

It's a little irritating as I had hoped that this would be a new line of hardcovers collecting the complete Mirage run in much the same style as the current IDW Collections, but I guess there's still some licencing shenanigans going on with the old material.

15 is another weird one as it was a Laird issue so there shouldn’t be any rights issues there (or for Sim’s 8 really, they resolved all that for the the original Ultimate and The Works collections, the only place it wasn’t reprinted was the Color Classics floppies)

Do we know if the compendium will be in black and white? is it oversized? is it in chronologically release and include all the various shorts tales that came out during the time the collected issues were published ?

Nope, AG Opening Moves 1 - 2 are a prequel, AG Alliances are the one-shots.

If the upcoming releases are in a specific order then it'll be issue 133

I want to collect the full Campbell era in mostly trade paperback. Do you think based on history, stuff like Opening Moves #1-2 and Armageddon Game #1 will be released in this format, or should I be buying them as individual issues in order to complete the traditionally numbered set?

From my understanding, the only thing from the Campbell era chronology not released in trade paperbacks so far is Annuals 2020-2022 and Free Comic Book Day 2022. Is that correct?

It's too soon to say anything definitive as the issue numbers and page counts are still unclear but we can say with relative certainty that Reborn 6 +7 will collect #131 - #138/139/140-ish and most likely the 2022 FCBD issue too as the previous FCBD issues were included in previous TPB releases.

AGOM 1 - 2 are both bumper issues and there's currently conflicting information regarding the main AG series page count with some sources stating 20 pages and others saying 30 like OM.
Then there's the Alliance one-shots of which very little outside of the first issue's solicitation has been confirmed; I would guess that they would probably be in their own tpb release at some point similar to the original micro/ macro issues but don't quote me on that.

The next batch of solicitations/ previews should be up by the end of next week at the latest so they may provide more clarity but either way I'll post them here as soon as I see them.
