So you can actually watch more than just the first episode if you have a cable provider? o.O

Well, the biggest thing was that their level of fighting skills is kinda pathetic (excluding dons) - leos attempt at that flip or watever off of the cement truck during the 1st fight looked seriously painful and couldve been better executed as a example, at least he managed to stick the landing when they fell through that tunnel-gateway. When mikey and raph tried that "ninja sneak" but were still in plain sight was also pathetic. Granted, when raph said that line about picking on someone his size, it kinda does make me almost laugh but more in mockery than anything else.

Yeah, i know their supposed to be starting out fighting and so on in this but come on, they should at the very least be slightly more skilled than april... I dont care for how they blew off that whole "black market buy" just to cannonball in some rooftop pool at the beginning either. And dont even get me started with how leo ended up trapping himself in those portals.... Yeah, i get that mystic weapons are more unpredictable but still, he couldve tried shifting his body angle so he could grasp the edge of the floor/watever.

Aside from that, the overall art style isnt bad (not counting character design in that).

If i watch any more eps, itll prob mainly be of the background environments..
Aw, I actually liked the joke about the black market deal, I thought it was clever...

The turtles literally just got their weapons too, of course they're going to be a little startled by the powers they have.

I get that as well but even yugo did better with learning his powers on his own.

I do like that the Turtles are still learning how to use there new weapons after 4 episodes, they could become very powerful in later episodes. So It's a good thing it's not being rushed.

I just finished watching Mystic Mayhem. So I got something to say. Is there any loose connection between the episodes released on nick.com?

I too hope that there will be flashback episode showing how the Turtles met April.

It seems odd for them to gloss over how the Turtles met April, but as said there may be a brief flashback showing it in another episode so it's too early to say.

No one wants to see their origins. Maybe in Season 5 after they've done everything else. These turtles don't seem like they're "new" to this though, it feels like a continuation of already having been in action for years.

It's probably because the writers want to immediately jump into the action and showcase all the new stuff rather than retreading the origins for the millionth time. Probably the same reason we won't see Shredder till the end of Season 1 I'm guessing.

This seemed like a What a Cartoon parody. Did anyone else catch that vibe?

No. Some aspects seem similar to the old CN 90's shows, but not all of it.

4A is a whole episode, I just watched it. "Repo Mantis" is quite possibly the most un-TMNT thing I've ever seen, & yet it was sooo much fun. This show is really doing its own thing, I love it!

I saw that there's episodes available on Comcast OnDemand, so I gave one of them a try. About half way through the 11 minute episode, I had to turn it off. I just couldn't. And I gave it a honest try. But I just did not find it entertaining enough to watch.

EDIT: For those curious, it was the episode about the worm (or whatever it was) that kept claiming to be the turtles greatest adversary.

Sorry, I have a clearer head now

So yeah, I watched the first 4 episodes last night. It was... uh...

I get how people can like it, I'm just not one of them.

I think I like Donnie, the vibrant colours, and the intro animation. That's about it.

And did anyone else hear the Bulk and Skull theme song playing during one of the episodes? I swore I heard it, but I was pretty lit.

Honestly, this made me feel old. Watching it made me think of just how long it's been since I was watching the original toon when I was a kid. And how many different incarnations we've gone through to reach this point.

I've said it elsewhere but I'll repeat it here: Turtles Forever, for me, was the closing chapter of "my" Ninja Turtles. Ever since then I don't get hot when things are wildly reinterpretted because thats what properties need to do to survive and stay relevant. I don't see this one catching on, but that's fine. It's for someone out there I'm sure. And it's not going to be the nail in the coffin for the franchise, so, that's that.
