Lady and The Tramp Remake Coming to Disney Streaming Service

series.)

Tramp, released in 1955, told the love story between a pampered Cocker Spaniel named Lady and a streetwise mongrel named Tramp. Lady finds herself out on the street after her owners have a baby and is saved from a pack by Tramp, who tries to show her to live her life footloose and collar-free. More doggone adventures ensue.

The centerpiece of the movie is the candlelit spaghetti dinner in an alley while two human cooks sing and play "Bella Notte," considered one of the most iconic scenes in Disney and movie history.

Andrew Bujalski penned the script for the remake.

Jessica Virtue and Chaz Salembier are overseeing for Disney.

Bean is a longtime animator who has written on Dexter’s Laboratory and Samurai Jack and directed 18 out of the 19 episodes of Disney XD’s Tron: Uprising before making his feature debut with Ninjago. Tramp now trampolines the director into the live-action world while still keeping him tethered to animation.[/quote]

Shredder and Krang combined had the biggest arsenal of any villains in all of the cartoons.

OMG! That would be SO AWESOME. We can only HOPE. But what arcs would it even use? It would have to be a trilogy at the very least. But can you imagine seeing them waking up in a LA setting? I wait with baited breath....

I haven't seen Lego Ninjago but I really enjoyed Beans's work on Tron Uprising. Speaking of, with the new streaming service adding 4-5 original movies a year maybe Disney will actually follow through with the new Tron movie they're developing. I'd also like to see them move forward with the live-action / CGI hybrid Rescue Rangers movie that was announced years ago.

I think I will skip this one, I have had my fill of talking dogs in live action movies unless it was Scooby Doo.

I would love a live action Gargoyles movie.

Justin Theroux, who previously voiced Lord Garmadon in Bean's The LEGO Ninjago Movie, has been cast to voice Tramp.

The more I think about it, what Disney is trying to do here is to capture what the Air Buddies film did in the past. The kids in my after-school program enjoy watching those.

Well... At least it makes more sense than Lion King, seeing how Lady and the Tramp actually has human characters.

In addition, the character of Jock will be female and she will be voiced by Ashley Jensen.

Over the past few weeks, they've cast the human characters. Thomas Mann will be playing Jim Dear and Kiersey Clemons has been cast as Darling.

Yvette Nicole Brown will portray Aunt Sarah.

Saw this pop on Tumblr, so I went to Twitter to find the original post.

It was posted last month and I hadn't noticed it before.

They look nothing like the original. Lady is too chunky, and Tramp isn't even the right "breed" of stray.

If the Wiki is to be believed...
"The film will be exclusively released on Disney+."

Today in after-school care, we watched the movie with the students.. The original was not one of my favorite movies when I was younger because I was more into 101 Dalmatians. However, I remember well it enough to know the differences in this one.

Spoiler:
In this movie, Jim Dear and Darling give birth to a baby girl named Lulu instead of a boy name Jim Jr. Aunt Sarah comes to dog-sit lady and she did not realize that until she arrived. Jim Dear and Darling decide to take Lulu with them on their trip to see Jim's sister. During the scene with Aunt Sarah's cats, the new song is about them describing the things they are destroying in the house.

In earlier drafts of the original movie, Aunt Sarah was Darling's aunt instead and she was to have antagonistic feelings towards Jim Dear. That is exactly what they do to her in this movie. Jim Dear and Darling are actually the ones who take Lady home from the pound instead of Aunt Sarah and like the original draft Aunt Sarah is not redeemed. Both Jim Dear and Darling tell her how very unsatisfied they were with how she took care of Lady when they get home and she is sent packing immediately.

Tramp is also given a new backstory about how he once had a family, but they deserted him after a new baby was born. Lady also doesn't bond with Lulu until after Jim Dear and Darling take her home from the pound. After Tramp was mistakenly believed to have attacked Lulu when he really was after the Rat, Lady and the other dogs make the horse drawn dogcatcher's carriage turn over and it is Tramp instead of Trusty who gets injured. After Tramp gets up, Jim Dear and Darling tell the dogcatcher not to take Tramp away because he is their dog. The movie ends with Tramp officially becoming a member of the family and Jackie, the new version of Jock, has new puppy siblings that have been adopted from the pound and they hear Trusty's story at the ending.

Honestly, I couldn't tell because their CGI was a little distracting at times.
