7 CANCELLED Ninja Turtles Movies EXPLAINED! (Video)
The old Turtle Den guy made a 42 minutes video about 7 cancelled TMNT movies. he seems to have taken informations from all around the internet wich makes that video a very informative summarize about them all. |

More like movie pitches that never got into production, no movie was ever outright canceled.

Yeah, the number of "cancelled" TMNT movies is precisely 0. As in a production office is opened, the money is in place and then the rug is yanked out from under it.

The video is a good source of info, even if most of us here have heard it.
Always interesting to wonder "what if". If I could resurrect just one of those projects, it'd be the Hallmark two-parter. Steve Baron and Brendan McCarthy on TMNT is just a winning combination, if you ask me. I still hope that one day they'll ask Baron to come back and give him the freedom he needs to tell his story. |

The only thing that piques my interest is the Fusco script for the reboot. Every single other incarnation of the fourth TMNT movies that never were all sounded pretty horrid.

Still, it is a shame that it essentially morphed into the PD films. Fusco movie surely would have had a great chance of turning out better. |

Nice video. I didn't know a lot of things about TMNT movies.

I recall the original Ninja Turtles website, in the Frequently Asked Questions sections, claiming the Ninja Turtles would probably visit Dimension X in a fourth film.

Triceraton
I think a Triceraton film would be the most interesting.
When it comes to stories where someone gets turned into something, runs away or focuses on turtle, save them for the comic issues and cartoon episodes. |

Unproduced films are a huge interest of mine. As someone that knows more than the average bear about unproduced TMNT projects, he did a great job laying out the available info.
The PL Blog Q&A bit at 22:45 was my question to Laird. I wasn't aware of the sources for the print ads that mention TMNT 4, so that was super cool to learn. |

There was a really cool adaptation of one of the early Lucas rough drafts of Star Wars. Speaking of-- does anyone know any budding coomic artists that can illustrate TMNT in the style of Lawson? |

Looks like they stole my TMNT 4 logo I did 19 years ago or whenever:

Looks like you were more optimistic back in the days about a new TMNT movie for making a webpage about it.

Given TMNT III came out in 1993, they could have theoretically squeezed out a 4th live action movie just in the last dying days of the original TMNT fad, like around 1995-1996.
The original cartoon ended in 1996 and Next Mutation began in 1997, so there was still a market for it at the time, and nobody knew that Next Mutation would bomb and get canceled after 1 season. Anything later than 1997 though was not going to happen. |
