Yeah, no, if I get around to it then it will be around the same price range... so unless you find a $3 tv, you're out of luck.

Your signature gif is appropriate. (Minus the context.)

Was wondering recently if jury duty is even still a thing during the pandemic. (Knock on wood, I guess I should be mindful not to jinx myself.)

4/16 -- The new nearby Target finally opened, in the building that was three year ago my previous employer (Sears), and closed almost 3 years to the day. Stopped in there today and very surreal to walk into an old space that now feels completely foreign. Only familiar trace left of the old place is part of the old flooring with a new polish on it.

Happy to find one thing I was really hoping would be in this store so I won't have to go up to our other mall location and fight with the constant construction and I-95 traffic around there. Always hard to find the will to get over there because of that.

Didn't intend on getting much else, but lost the battle in resisting the urge to bring home an adorable hammer head 'throw pillow'... If I ever "outgrow" plush critters then something is wrong. lol

Well, in the midst of this week's crisis, there was one bright spot- I had ordered a new laptop last Friday (before this sh**storm started) and it came on Wednesday. So I have been keeping busy getting it set up, transferring all my pics and stuff onto it, and relearning how to play games on a pc since the disc reader on my desktop crapped out. It's a nice little machine, works great and pretty fast.

As much as I'm pretty much horrified by the thought of needles and will dread getting it... I managed to get vaccine appointments made.

Funny thing is, I was annoyed at my mom after overhearing her say to my sister that she thought I wasn't trying hard enough (she who never had to try herself since my sister, who works in a medical office, was easily able to get her one at the place my sister got it) and pulled up Walgreen's site on my work device and showed her the red message, once again, saying that appointments weren't available. I can't exactly force them to let me make an appointment if there aren't openings, now can I.

Maybe no more than 10 min later I checked again via computer and one location now had 9 appointments available for Friday. Not crazy about it being the day after my b-day since I'll now just spend my b-day stressed about it, but I had wanted it on a Thurs or Fri, and the second one won't conflict with work, so that will work.

4/22 -- Mom and I were just joking about it "snowing" outside over what we assumed was some scattered tree flower petals looking like flurries, but surprised us when it actually was a brief little period of snowflakes. From broken up clouds with sun behind us, no less.

Incredibly rare here in April. Got an actual dusting of it just once in my life, probably early in the month, but was young enough I don't have much memory of it.

I wasn't happy about my b-day being the one day of the week the temps were supposed to drop to the low 50s (we're supposed to touch 80s again next week!) and currently still in the 40s, but I think that just made up for it.

Mom has chosen to believe my dad was behind it. After all, my sister got snow on her b-day in Dec. and even then the chances of that are spotty at best.

4/23 -- Was a little bit of a nervous wreck, but got the first vaccination done. Grateful the lady who did it was real gentle and good with nervous patients. Helped a little to see that there were a few other nervous people also there to get it.

Meeting my all-time favorite voice actor Jim Cummings today was literally the happiest I've ever felt in the last six months.

Temps in the upper 80s (after we had a few snowflakes 6 days ago!), a third duck left on my Jeep (yesterday), finally got a chance to scrub the rug the cat decided to ruin (mat-like indoor/outdoor rug so it's washable).

Today is Beltane, and also happens to be the 24th anniversary of my handfasting, so I "celebrated" by going to see the hubby at rehab. Since I had time to kill beforehand, I thought I'd stop at the library for FCBD today. Surprisingly, it was closed. CURSE YOU COVID!! So I went to see a couple of movies instead. Mortal Kombat and Raya and the Last Dragon. To everyone here, don't bother with MK unless you just want to watch the fights. They were really the only good things about it. Raya was good, though!

Spent time with Mr D and we got to watch the Kentucky Derby together, which we love doing. He's doing well with his therapy, and he even has a knee scooter to help him get around with. We had dinner together, and held each other for a while, which was really nice. I've been missing him a lot since he went to the hospital. But it sounds like he might be home again soon. I know it's going to be a big change, but we're working things out for his mobility.

Made my debut for a buddy's wrestling promotion today. Had a decent match, got done early, then the wife and I got to cruise down the parkway doing 90mph with the convertible top down, blasting Offspring on the way home. Good times. Beautiful out.

When customers are nice to interact with and leave you happy to have done so.

Yesterday it was this really old guy who was looking for a "love" card for his wife. Have to admire people who keep it going that long. Found a good one he liked, though he joked that he'd have to color in the roses on the front to make them white... she doesn't like red roses. lol

And today, being able to relate with a woman who is a retired school teacher and because of it hates glitter and was avoiding Mother's Day cards with glitter on them. Working for a card company I myself have had to accept glitter as a fact of life. My steering wheel is permanently sparkly if you look at it closely...

Mr. D is finally home! He came home Friday afternoon, and aside from a few new changes to our home routine, things are starting to get back to normal. Or as close to it as possible. Needs a walker and wheelchair now to get around, but we are working on getting a prosthetic for him. So fingers crossed that it all works out. I have to help him with some things, but hopefully he will be able to learn how to find new ways to do the things he is used to.

Yeah, things are still a bit rough, but we're managing. The hardest part is him trying to get around in our apartment with doors that are barely wide enough for the wheelchair. He has been using a walker in the bedroom and bathroom, as it's easier to maneuver. And then there is Bandit, who keeps getting in his way because she's half blind and a little senile besides. She doesn't understand what's going on, and he can't just move her when he needs to get past her. Makes it difficult for him when I'm not home to pick her up and move her out of the way. She's had her tail run over a couple of times already.

I went to the flea market and got a batch of WWF LJN and Hasbro figures I needed for my collection, plus an old WrestleMania III Hogan vs. Andre lunchbox in great condition.

I've got a little more than half of the LJN line, now. As usual they need a lot of fixing up but that's half the fun for me of collecting these guys.
