Why does it always have to be some crack on Spongebob?

I know ... it's kind of getting on my nerves.
They're not in competition with each other; they're on the same network.

And "take that SpongeBob" doesn't make any sense, because SpongeBob did better.

Well, you do. You're the one who made it into some competition.

You guys had better hope TMNT becomes as popular as Spongebob. If it does it'll likely be kept on the air for around 7 seasons.

If the show keeps up the current level of quality while increasing the storylines and recurring cast I would love to see this series his 200 total episodes.

78 episodes is good, but not enough. I think the show needs to last at least 7 seasons.

7 seasons does seem to be the magic, and strangely specific number...

I really hope you're making a joke.

Cybercubed is all about the weirdly specific season and episode numbers. It's what's normally called a 'brain thing'.

7 seasons is the standard run for a popular series.

It goes like this:

- 3 seasons means a successful series that ended either because of network execs or it reached the 65 episode run.

- 5 seasons is a show that was allowed to go on a bit longer than usual due to good ratings or toy sales.

- 7 seasons is a show that was incredibly popular and succcessful and allowed to go on for a long period of time

- 8 or more seasons is an insanely popular series that brings in huge merch sales like Pokemon, Power Rangers, or the original TMNT.

I'm sure there's some truth in all of that, but it seems like you just have some specific examples in mind (like the first thing I thought about was Arrested Development getting canceled after 3 seasons because Fox refused to get behind it) and just applying that to every show regardless of network, demographic, trends, etc. But hey, I don't really know how it all works, it just seems a little more complicated than you give it credit for...

If they keep the same cast and the same designs (I'm looking at you Fast forward & Back to the sewers) Then I'd love to see 10 Seasons of this great Show!

The OT series had a good run but it got stale towards the final seasons, so it be really interesting to see how this show fairs in Quality in comparison to previous incarnations!

Ratings for the new Nick Series

Terribly sorry if this has already been posted or if there already exists a thread, if so, please merge, but was wondering if there was a good source online or if anyone knows the ratings so far for the new show?

Ratings for "Metalhead":

-11 AM: 3.612 million viewers, 0.88 A18-49

http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/201...e-more/155015/

From the numbers I've seen so far, in total viewers it was the second highest kids show premiere of the week (SpongeBob being the first).

Very, very good. Looks like TMNT is becoming a hit for Nick as expected.

As long as this means we get at least 7 seasons and over 150 episodes I am sold.

Once again an increase in viewers for the second week in a row. Highest rated episode since the premiere! Great sign of staying power.

As I say every week ... not until Tuesday, unless it does particularly well and Nick issues a press release on Monday.
