Thanks for that notice. Admittedly, I didn't watch the episode for myself, so I can't confirm what it's titled, but I'll take your word for it.

And perhaps, neatoman. It certainly seems like there would be more specific clues given if it were to be serious.

There's a another theory going around, that Splinter was called Lou Jitsu who use to star in films as a martial artist. Splinter watches him on TV in Origami Tsunami.

Also is the voice cast list Eric Bauza voices Splinter and additional voices but the the only additional voice in that episode was Lou Jitsu.
