"I believe so, yes" was Bobby Curnow's response to the question of IDW reprinting the TMNT Image run.

Didn't we learn that in volume 1?

Both Don and Mike are shown writing in Volume 1, but not to the extent it's explored in Volume 3.

So we're in agreement. His propensity for writing is explored in more depth in volume 3, but we learn that he likes to write in volume 1.

Absolutely my favorite Volume of the original TMNT. (Volume 1 would hold that honor, but there's a LOT of non-canon anthology issues that just tread water for far too long.)

Leo and Donny definitely get the short end of the stick in Volume 3, but Raph and Mikey's character development is extremely well-written and gratifying:

Mikey becomes a published author, babysitter and favorite uncle of Shadow, and boyfriend of a spiky lizard alien.

Raph explores the peace treaty with the Foot Clan by working with them, then taking up the mantle of the Shredder and trying to redeem the Clan as a whole. He also strikes up a rivalry with Shredder's daughter, Oroku Pimiko...

It's just too bad Don's character development is just the plot device of "cyborg."

We're gonna get along just swell.

More people need to realize just how good this series really is!

Its probably going to be reprinted in color though, changing the way it looks.

As much as I hate IDW's method of colorizing everything Black & White, reprinted in color is better than nothing. Volume 3 is hard to find, and I exclusively collect TMNT TPBs.

I used to have most of Volume 3 (along with a lot of Tales and Volume 1) when I was in high school, but those got thrown out by my parents...

I just hope IDW gets the *full* Image material, including Big Bang Comics #10 and the filler pages in the TPB.

I simply loved the story in Big Bang because it's a rare glimpse at Oroku Saki, who we get to see as the businessman he was, though one adorned in wicked slicy armor.

It would be cool to see a rerelease of Image by IDW

I only need, like, 2 or 3 issues, not counting the ones Andrew did. Might as well just pay a little extra or incur a little minor hassle just to have a full run of single issues when you're that close to "done", no? I'd seriously have 'em by now if I cared enough I just keep forgetting about 'em.

Besides, I've always been a single-issue collector over TPBs. I get how that's better for some folks but I'm way, way too deep into my own system to switch gears now. I've got like 20 long boxes, that ship has long since sailed.

I would love if IDW reprinted Volume 3. I seemed to have lost my collection at some point of moving from state to state, and was quite devastated when I learned this. Instead of tracking down on the individual issues again I would rather collect it in a trade.

As many have said, volume three had great ideas and concepts but tended to fall flat most of the time. My favorite bit was when Raph took over the foot clan and had to resort to crime just to keep every one fed.

If its colorized how do you think it'll look? The artwork in Image is very different than the Mirage books and I wonder how coloring would be

Color would help Frank's art pop, he'll get sabacooza to color it and that volume would sell like hot cakes.

If they color it like they did the 30th Anniversary Special, I'll be accepting of it.

If they color it like they've colored their Tales reprints... I'll grit my teeth and suck it up.

I was not aware of any filler pages in the TPB.
I currently have most of the singles issues and will not buy this TPB or IDW reprints yet I'd like to have a look at these pages.

Were they comic pages ?
Is there a place on the web where I can find them ?

Thanks.

It was just one page added to TMNT Vol. 3 #2. You can see it by scrolling down to the end of the summary here:
