"Monster" was pretty great! Loved HR, loved Julian and getting to know him... really really curious to know where this character is going.

Nigel was a moron; kinda hoping he actually lost those fingers. Ya don't mess with Caitlin Snow.

The only part of the episode I didn't like is the monster. I mean, the design was fantastic but...

Totally agree with you with the hologram thing. Kid must be smart and this is how he throws away his life.
Looking forward to see how Wells will turn out, I'm sick of treacherous Wells, I am a bit unsure about him, I feel like he has more to his agenda than "writing a novel".

Caitlin was fantastic this episode, I am surprised that Barry does not know about her, since she used her powers to free him from Mirror Master's mirror. Did he not see?
Julian was great, I'm starting to like him.

Pretty decent episode all around, but those last couple of minutes in Doc Alchemy's lair were outstanding. I like the change of having Savitar as a "God of Speed" as opposed to making him just another metahuman.

Not sure if the God of Speed is anything more than just another metahuman. Certainly hope so, though.

Best episode of the season so far, I think. Just killing it. Only thing that felt off was the Shade... he's in it for, what, two minutes?

So I think it's safe to say Julian IS Alchemy. The writers deliberately seeded the concept of disassociative identity disorder already with Frankie/Magenta.

I really REALLY hope the season finale involves Barry, Wally, Jesse, and Jay all teaming up to fight Savitar.

He stated Barry didn't know a lot of things about him
Alchemy uses a stone. Actor in Harry Potter.

I don't know, but everything leads me to think that Julian is Alchemy. However that would be too obvious, I don't think the writers would make this mistake.
Maybe it's someone we did not expect.

Everything is done for a reason. Allow me to point again to this fact.

Out of all the potential one-shot enemies they could have used for an early episode, the writers chose Frankie/Magenta. Why?

To seed disassociative identity disorder. Ensign Checkov, somebody found your gun.

I'm pretty sure that's the case. This show always makes sure that Barry Allen is never the fastest person alive. It's kind of a running gag when there's a new speedster and he/she happens to be faster than Barry.

As much as I detest the morality of time traveling into the past to fix "mistakes," I can't help but think it's time for somebody to tell Cisco "dude, your brother is dead but that's in the past now; get over blame Barry Allen for being the indirect cause of it."

Cisco has been terrible this entire season.
