The MCU is going to change after Avengers 4, I can see Hugh Jackman appear in a post credit scene or something, the movie is currently filming, and things can change during production, I'm pretty sure they know in advance when things are set and done, then they can proceed to include some characters.

After all, no one knew Spider-Man was in Civil War until after the production was done, in fact Marvel and Sony were in the middle of negotiations while Civil War was filming, and after they agreed, its when they put SpiderMan in that movie, I can expect the same thing to happen with this movie, they can make references to things like the Baxter Building, or the X-Mansion.

Nope.

The only change to the MCU will be the removal of some core characters. They've already said Spidey 2 picks up right after the events of Avengers 4. We're getting GOTG3 a year after. Seems like status quo to me. They probably won't have a long running narrative like Thanos and the Infinity Stones going forward either.

Everyone knew Spidey was in Civil War prior to filming. Marvel even issued a press release saying they cut a deal with Sony in February 2015. Tom Holland was announced as Spidey long before Civil War was done filming.

This Fox deal is also much more complicated than the deal with Sony too. It'll probably take a year to close after they agree to preliminary terms. Sure, Marvel and Feige can work towards implementing certain characters into the MCU during that time but they're not going to change their plan on how to end Phase 3 at this point.

What benefit is there in putting Jackman in a post credits scene? If Marvel wants to bring Wolverine into the MCU they're not going to have Jackman in there briefly just to recast him immediately after that. Why would they confuse the general audience that doesn't follow news like this? This is such a stupid discussion.

There's definitely very little chance of any of Fox's movie properties being introduced in Infinity War or A4.

I am super stoked that this is coming out a week early now though. The last couple months before a Marvel movie release are so annoying

I've pretty much given up hope regarding seeing the events of the Marvel TV shows both cable and streaming having any bearing on the events of the Marvel movies (although the events of the movies do have an effect on the shows, like a weird two-way mirror of video media)

My one big worry is, too many characters and some moments will be lost.

Guardians returning to earth should be a BIG emotional moment for Rocket and Star Lord.

stuff like that could get lost.

I expect this will be tony's last hurrah as he wants out of these movies. perfect way to do it. not sure about who else they can afford to kill. the names and characters are too big money makers.

Hate spidey's new tech suit. ugly.
