Now, as far as the actual Justice League movie... that I'm still concerned about.
I'll say this - I have doubts, but not like the doubts I had about BVS.
If I had to guess, it will sit somewhere between Ang Lee's Hulk, and Ant-man.

It still looks to be a little too self-serious.

I want to be wrong.

I will spend the money I didn't use on that crappy Female ghostbuster movie on this excellent looking movie about a strong female hero.

Wretched Synder-esque abuse of slo-mo in some parts, but I knew that coming in...

Everything else looked amazing though. Very excited for this one, thankfully.

Finally, an actual DC film to get excited about since the Dark Knight Rises in 2008. That was almost a decade ago.

The only problem is it literally looks like a remake of the Captain America movie. Just with Diana on her island at the start instead of Steve being experimented on to become a super soldier.

Wonder Woman blocking bullets with her shield was a direct ripoff and/or pandering to the Marvel crowd.

Looks like a fun period piece that honors the source material while being subtle and sophisticated with its presentation of feminist themes.

Also, it seems like there's just enough fanservice to keep hearts racing.

I wonder what DCEU versions of the Cheetah or Circe would be like.

An ex-WB employee has written an open letter to WB, which contains this little tidbit

Quote:
What are you even doing? I wish to God you were forced to live out of a car until you made a #1 movie of the year. Maybe Wonder Woman wouldn't be such a mess. Don't try to hide behind the great trailer. People inside are already confirming it's another mess. It is almost impressive how you keep REWARDING the same producers and executives for making the same mistakes, over and over.

The coke came out my nose at this bit in the letter:

At an organization affiliated with DC, you say?

Man I hope that's not true. I really want Wonder Woman to be the first really overly great movie from them.

I assume nothing at this point. The trailer was great, but so was Suicide Squad's and its flaws are well-covered at this point. If the issue in common is that production and executive meddling are a mess, then, well...

Time'll tell. I really hope they get Wonder Woman right, but it's hard to trust their judgment at this point.

Heck, it wouldn't surprise me at this point. I want this one more than any of the others to be good.
