Bandai was the distributor and did not make the figures, Playmates still made the figures.
There is no secret, different colored weapons on later releases and variants happened even within the Ninja branding of the toyline. It was normal. Here's a thread showing just a few Turtle figures that had various variants with different colored accessories. http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?t=39639 |

As you can see, there were also Hero Turtles carded figures from Bandai produced with the US colored weapons. Have Tokka as well, have seen the Sports Turtles Bandai-Release no blue weapons.

So they took various Figures from the Hero line and gave then blue weapons ?
It has nothing to do with, maybe the blues are the first run in Europe ?? |

Maybe just a production error that was fixed later on? Was wäre denn deine favorisierte Theorie bzw. was würdest du am liebsten hören?
