Leto Joker in Snyder Cut
Looks like Leto is getting the last laugh as he joins the shooting of additional scenes for the Snyder Cut.
Zack Snyder’s new Justice League cut is getting some killer laughs. Jared Leto, who played classic DC villain The Joker in 2016’s Suicide Squad, has joined the reshoots for the “Snyder Cut,” the filmmaker’s definitive version of the 2017 superhero movie he was forced to exit and he never saw through completion, multiple sources tell The Hollywood Reporter. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/he..._medium=social Mods can delete this I am putting it in the Justice League section

How odd, as far as I'm aware his character was never a factor in the original version of the movie. Things have definitely changed a lot from Then to Now and it seems like to some degree they're making up entirely new things for it.
Also, not for nothin' but did this need to be a new thread? Just asking. I would've put it in the regular thread about the movie. I mean if it ends up being true it'll be, like, a two-minute cameo at the most, probably, and very likely even less than that. I'm surprised, but it's barely "news". Far from an Earth-shattering announcement.

Strange choice. Curious what the plan is.

This is getting weird. Hope Deathstroke has an awesome scene, but most of all I hope there is a coherent story here.

Pretty sure the Deathstroke scene we saw in the theatrical cut was all that they shot. He was penciled-in as one of the main villains for the Batfleck movie, but we know how that went. I don't hear everything, but I've never heard anything about there being any more Slade in the JL movie than what we already got, and that Eisenberg said he was never part of Joss's reshoots so we can assume that was a Zack scene.
Frankly, I'll be pissed if it happens but I half-expect that scene to bite the dust entirely, just because since that version of the DCEU isn't moving forward anymore, there's just no place or reason for that scene anymore, it's needless set-up for something that won't ever happen, more than likely. ...Of course, that could be said about the entire movie. BUT, if they lose anything Zack originally shot, I'm pretty sure it'll be that. It's just rather extraneous given what we know and everything that's happened. It really seems like they're trying hard to make this its own self-contained thing, so sequel hooks seem kinda pointless. One never knows, though. There were whispers about a Batfleck series for HBOMax; if so, they could have Deathstroke be the villain and thus the JL scene makes sense again. Guess we'll have to wait and see!
