Hmm. I think for me (atm) the most disturbing movie would have to be Sick Nurses. It's a 2007 thai horror movie. (I still like it)

Especially because of this scene, which, by the way, is pretty gorey, and disturbing, and yep..

Spoiler:

When I was younger the horror movie that disturbed me the most was probably "House on Haunted Hill" The opening scene with the good doctor dissecting someone while they were a wake sent a freighting chill down my spine."
"Childs play 2" also got me. Chucky tearing off his own damn hand and putting a knife in it .

I can't think of any modern horror movies that creep me out. Modern movie if I have to list one is "Insidious". The old women staring back at you, I wanted to punch out the television

I guess I still gotta go with the ones that at some point of my life scared me the most, and those are Ringu 1 and 2, and Grudge. Eden Lake was pretty disturbing too, but annoying as well.

Funny, I just did a review on this for a site a write for. That scene was great! But I gotta be honest, the rest of the movie was a total snore for me.

For disturbing, you'll definately find a few gems in Asian horror. Off the top of my head... the Guinea Pig series, Naked Blood, Imprint (Miike) and Dumplings are all solid picks.

Dumplings was awesome. The three extremes movies were disturbing in general. Another asian horror that was freaky was battle royale. Audition had that one freaky scene, otherwise movie was boring as hell.

I feel a little better knowing that I'm not the only one, who thought the Grudge was scary. I had nightmares about Saeki Kayako? a few times after watching it.

The Human Centipede for me was disturbing in the sense of the idea of it.

The ABC's of death (as much as it SUCKED imo) had some pretty disturbing parts in it as well.

Agree about Audition. I never understood why people liked that one so much, it's so dull until the end. Ichi the Killer is a better movie, IMO.

Battle Royale is one of my all time faves. The manga it's based off of is good too, but a little more rapey.

Speaking of Japanese horror films one I've always wanted to see was "The Military Policeman and the Dismembered Beauty" which inspired Shigesato Itoi to make Giygas from Earthbound.

Hmm, I'm surprised no one brought up A Serbian Film or Akira, those were pretty messed up.

Not so much horror, but Ex-Drummer is one of the most disturbing effed up movies I've seen. Everyone in that movie is just such a terrible person.

Yeah, Scream was disturbing alright. I get jumpy whenever my phone rings after seeing the series. No one's bugged me about scary movies or stalked me, so that's nice. It's always someone trying to sell me something, which is scary in itself!

"Wrong Turn" is a really sick and disturbing movie.
"Blair Witch Project" in another way ...

I will certainly agree about Akira. That scene with the giant toys and the milk filling the room was pretty messed up, and so was Tetsuo's hallucination at the beginning.

There is one thing wrong with the television rating in Germany.
Do you guys know the old "Watership down" movie from 1987, where the cute little bunnys fight to death?
It`s ranked for 6year old kids here!
I watched it at this age and was so damn scared, that I couldnd stand the image of Bunnys for a whole month!

I am totally sorry. It`s not a horror movie, it`s a british animated adventure drama film.
