I always envision the voice actors of the TV series when reading comic book dialog.

It would be such "What the HELL?" moment if they would have Greg Cipes doing the voice of the Last Ronin Mikey.

That voice coming out of that weathered Ronin Turtle face... but it would be glorious in the same way as the old Christmas special is. Please don't. lol

To give you an example on how that would sound, here's Kevin Eleven from the later Ben 10 Alien force series, Greg Cipes' more serious (?) role.

Per Toy World Magazine:

"a theatrical adaptation of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles The Last Ronin is in development, further expanding the Turtles' cinematic universe."

I honestly do not know how people overall will feel about getting a movie where 3 turtles are dead. Like I said before never read the comic but it’s not weird for that to exist. It’s a special story in a book series.

A Streaming or DTV adaptation makes sense too. There’s a lot of things getting wider takes it seems but a major movie release is so strange to me.

Nothing to do with Mutant Mayhem either. I’m talking purely about the decision to make movie about 3 turtles being dead and one getting vengeance. In general whoever thought removing turtles would be the plot of a movie?

Crazier if it actually did well and got a sequel...1 turtle TMNT being a thing.

*cough* Can't, unless you want it to be the new kids.

But I'd love for it to trigger prequal stuff. Even if we know how it ends, no reason it can't tell more stories of this set of Turtles in the decades before the 'Ronin' period, back in their earlier adult years.

Quit trying to reinvent their teen years, jump to their adult years and a mostly blank slate to work with... If not movies, I'd very much support a Paramount+/Netflix series.

Now that Trump is murdering DEI and it seems like things are taking a turn for the better even with Blackrock taking a step back. Maybe they'll make TMNT great again lol.

Maybe.

* It's the most grown up TMNT movie there has ever been.

* It's a children's movie.

Both of these things are true. Definitely all along the lines of changing the source material to make it about Darth Shredder and his gang for troubled youths.

Let's make TMNT red again.

Lol Fair play.

I think the only reason kids "like myself" flipped the **** out when seeing that first live action trailer is bc of the cartoon! Which blew the franchise up! The live action film was an overwhelming sense of violence and realism! They can do it again but we need a full blown reboot based in the source material. Open the film with a flashback of the history of the foot and the jealousy between Saki and Yoshi. End it with the house burning down and a "years later" caption. Then just go into the New York Story line. I would have Dave Portnoy doing a pizza review for pizza hut and Raph telling him " you dont know **** about pizza" lol. Pop culture references could be crazy right now. But ground it in realism. Make Shredder an actual ninja assasin master overlord. Focus on the revenge arch between him and Yoshi, The turtles stuck in the middle being used as pawns like children between two divorced parents that want to murder eachother lol. This shouldn't be hard. Hollywood is corrupt obviously. It's not about entertainment it's about pushing an agenda and steering society in a certain direction. But after a certain point, even if paramount is doing this crap for the investment dollars from major asset managers like Blackrock that will only invest if corporations like paramount play ball with their agenda.. you can only print so much lol

I know no movie ever would? But I would love it if the only somewhat heroic people in the series were the Turtles with everyone else including April shades of grey. This isn't to say make Shredder sympathetic or make Splinter irredeemable but more so you understand why they are the why they are. And good or bad is just a line the characters paint.
