"Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo - Christiane F." is an awesome book. Sort of makes you really sad, but yet lets you cheer for Christiane.

Did you know that she was an actress for a while and is currently living off social aid. Kind of sad...

no, i didnt. that is sad, i mean after all the movie and the book of her life, was a big commercial sucsess. she must be at least in her late 40s now.

the music soundtrack from the movie is beautiful and sad, i like the part when david bowie steps in. he lived in berlin at the same time, and the albums low and heroes were inspired by the book about christiane f.

did not know that she was an actress, well she was very pretty so i could understand.

I found her IMDB-entry and this picture of her. She really was pretty. Everyone should read that book, it's really good.

her boy friend or best friend detlef does anyone know if he still alive.

the book should be school material, everyone in the ages of 13 and up, and who goes to school must read it.

And Babsi (Babette D.) was actually the daughter of a very famous pianist as well as the youngest drug victim of Berlin.

And there are way worse pictures of her... especially the ones from the time depicted in the book.

Detlef is currently living in Berlin, works as a mailman for parcels, has wife and children and has been clean for a very long time.

Have you seen the movie too?

EDIT: That is her today. 43 years old, living in Berlin Spandau.

EDIT 2: And the actress who played Christane F. in the movie was probably the best casting-thing German moviemakers ever made.

I use to be scared of the crypt keeper that would pop up in the beginning of Tales from the Crypt on HBO. Good show after I started not running away everytime the show began. lol

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Artobiography by Kevin Eastman-This is my second time readin' the book. Its intrestin' to see Kevin's concept sketches and other various artwork. The thumbnails really get my attention. Its intrestin' to see what Peter and Kevin had to do for the process of makin' a comic book.

The Tonuge: A Creative Force by Charles Capps-This is a very profound book. I like the biblical nature of it. The Scriptures in the book really go with what a particular chapter is about.

I recently took a break from my R.A. Salvatore novel to read the TPB collection of DC Comics' Space Ghost. Holy Hell, was that a good read. Dark, brooding, entertaining. The story was well in its place and the art was excellent; a perfect follow for Alex Ross' cover pieces.

A very nice breather from my usual epic reads.

I also readin' The Journey Home by Edward Abbey. That's a great book. I really like how Abbey describes his experince in the west. He travels to various west coast states and he's tryin' to get to Home, Pennsylvania. I don't wanna give too much away. A comic book I forgot to list is Marvel Milestones. That's a great one. I like how the classic comics that are collected in there are ones that I don't have. It was intrestin' to read about Spider-Man's black costume and Iron Man's origin.

War of the Worlds (loving it, but like the 2005 movie a littl bit better)

Crimson City (interesting futuristic story about vamps, were-wolves, and humans sharing the city of Angles!)
