[Announcement] Custom Rank Titles

Custom rank titles are now here! If you've been a member for at least a year and have at least 1500 posts, you will be automatically moved into a new usergroup whose users can edit their rank titles. You can tell right away that you are in the new group if your name is in italics.

If anyone has any questions or comments (or if you are in the new group and encounter any permissions errors), please post here.

Alright! I've been looking forward to this. And our user names are in italics now? Nice...

For those who don't know, you need to go into your User CP, and then into Edit Profile. You can't miss it. If you can't see it...well, you don't have your name in italics then...

Ah.. I was wondering why my name was suddenly in italics. I thought it was either my computer acting wonky or my bad eye site.

Heh, I hope that I'M among the ranks of the...ehm..."italisized". Gotta go check and see.

One question: where do I go to customize my rank? Like I said, I've got it in mind, I just need to know where to go.

(And I SINCERELY hope that I didn't set myself UP for something with that last line.

I don't know about The Cure's number of posts, Barkworm, but YOU have more than enough posts to do this.

You're right, Barkworm does meet the requirements, but since he's a moderator, he can already change his title, making the italicized rank unnecessary for him.

BTW, although Shredder's and my names are in bold and italics, that's actually just part of the Admin rank and does not have anything to do with the italicized rank. Not the best choice of text styling, I admit, but there's only so much you can do with text besides changing the color (which I want to avoid for most ranks due to the fact that there are two forum styles available).
