Happy 20th Anniversary TMNT 2003! Thank you Peter Laird, Lloyd Goldfine and all the cast and crew at 4Kids Entertainment and Mirage Studios. You all truly made something special.

As a throwback, here is the original thread discussing the first episode "Things Change": http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?t=2140

Fun fact. Lloyd Goldfine had an account under the name "Mortu": http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/member.php?u=529

Here is a behind the scenes look at the show:

I had barely turned 17 when this show started. Goddamn, where does the time go. As a teenager this was the Turtle show I always wanted, so it satisfied me greatly.

In retrospect it's a miracle it lasted as long as it did at 7 seasons and 156 episodes. The series aired on 4kids Foxbox which never got high ratings and a lot of people didn't even know the show existed when it was new and airing for the first time. Keep in mind also online streaming wasn't a thing in the early 2000's so back then if you also didn't watch it on live TV you would never see the show. It did air on Cartoon Network years later but it was only the first few seasons if I remember right.

I didn't pay much attention to it back when it was airing as I was in that age (I was around 18 ) when you feel too old to still care about cartoons, but I remember reading about it in the news on the old Mirage's website. I guess I was just discovering the original comics for the first time back then and that had priority over the new tv show but I was happy knowing it was more accurate to the comics.

20 years...has it really been that long???

This is still my favorite animated TMNT incarnation to this day.

I was in college, and there was only one tv on campus with cable and it was located in the student center. I had to get up good and early to get over there and "reserve" the TV so that I could watch Turtles.

It was a shell of a time.

Happy 20 Years 2003. Shame Nick and Viacom treat you like the bastard stepchild of the franchise. I really with they would give a new DVD/Blu Ray release of the series

I respect what FW cartoon did for the turtles franchise but it is the most overrated and hard to watch of the 3 turtles cartoons.

Happy 20th, 2003!

Well had figured at least a Tweet by Nick's TMNT account, but crickets over there. And looks like nothing posted to it, nor the Nick account (minus advertising Kids Choice Awards once) since November -- did their social media person quit...

If we can't have a complete set I'd at least settle for a release of the final season for the DVD regions that never got it. Sadly streaming being invented probably destroyed any hope of ever getting hard copies again.

For anyone in the UK, the show has actually been given some very passive acknowledgement. It's now available on Paramount Plus... but only the first two seasons, which is less than what's available on iTunes.

I love this show so much! Wish we'd get a Complete Series DVD, merchandise, and other goods surrounding it. Best TMNT cartoon in my opinion.

Wow, where has the time gone? I joined this forum to discuss this show, so I guess I've been here almost 20 years as well. It remains my favorite tv incarnation.

20 years ago minus 1 day my husband asked me if I wanted him to tape the new Turtles show for me the next morning since I had to go to work. I told him, "Nope, I've grown up past the Fred Wolf cartoon, sold all my TMNT Adventures and Mirage comics, and am all done with the Turtles. Thanks anyway."

20 years ago today, my husband tuned in to the first episode while he was getting ready for work himself. And about 2 minutes later he turned on the VCR so he could watch the rest when he got home.

So, so glad he did!

Thanks, TMNT 2k3, for having the perfect blend of the original Mirage comics and a "kid's cartoon".

Now, if only Nickelodeon would put out a complete series set so we could place it right next to the first live-action movie in our collection . . .

To echo what others are saying: Wow, how time flies. Here's hoping we get a complete DVD set, or dare I say, a complete Blu-ray set. Never say never.

Most underrated TMNT show ever and still THE BEST storywise. At least as far as first 4 seasons are concerned.

According to Wikipedia, it first aired over TV 3 Russia between 7 March 2005 and 9 April 2010.

I watched it on YouTube in 2007-2009 (and rewatched it 2011-2012) in original language, can't stand Russian dubs of cartoons. They cast worst actors for their roles or / and **** up sound quality, so you don't hear effects and music behind voices.
