You touch on a point I forgot to mention, regarding the push I see, especially countless posts from Herr Musk about needing to increase the birth rate in Western countries. Or more precisely, more of the babies he wants, and less of the babies he doesn’t want (ie blacks and minorities) who tend to breed more on average. Which also leads me back to the misogynistic approach to this target. Guess what the leading reasons are for white women having less babies over the last hundred years is, ignoring child health on average has been improving? Education and wealth. Keep them dumb and in the home, and boom, endless baby factories producing more Arian converts.

True but who's gonna pay to raise em, or pay to feed them and the wife. If the man is gonna be the sole provider, they better start bringing on twice the minimum wage at least as the starting wage for any job. Can't have more whiteboys if they die from starvation or homelessness before they even reach adulthood.

I mean for the last decade every time you see an old movie, show or whatever where only the man is providing for the family of 4 or 5 and whatnot, the thought of 'yeah, those were the days' always comes up. And it wasn't so much because 'women in the workplace', it was more cause back then you could afford living comfortably with only one person working. The irony being, some women do wish they could stay home all day, but they literally can't afford to.

It's now past 5 PM in Washington DC (4PM in Chicago) and I just checked my SSI and SNAP accounts and according to the site or answering machine, still active. Something isn't adding up. You guys and the media said that the Federal funding freeze took effect but my account sites are indicating that everything is just fine.

I have an image of my account's page stating that my SSI account is still ACTIVE, but I don't know how to insert an image without a BROWSE... feature. My image isn't on a http:// page.

Impacting Meals on Wheels is low. Not only does that get a meal to seniors, but someone stopping by is also kind of a casual check that they're okay.

I'm expected to get next month's SSI payment deposit either tomorrow or Thursday at the latest. I'll let you know by Saturday on the 1st of the next month or sooner what happens. Usually I get my SSI deposits before each month ends and my SNAP on the 7th.

Something in there looked like it said that social security and Medicare aren't supposed to be impacted, so hopefully the SSI for you won't be hit, likewise the SS for the parents of probably many of us if not most.

Just seconds ago on ABC 7 Chicago from the White House Press Secretary that food stamps and welfare among other things will NOT be effected by the pause. So I should be OK based on what I heard from local news.

Well, my SSI DID come in a few minutes ago. Now I went from $320 to $965 and I just paid off my Visa. So that's not an issue. I also heard that food stamps are not effected by press secretary.

I think I'll go out to celebrate the Lunar New Years for sushi this evening.

Or the fact that most of the developed countries in the world experienced the same inflation at the same time? Due to Saudis culling oil production, the war in Ukraine affecting supplies of many crops and other marketables, shifting demands as a result, yes the aftermath in COVID in a way, and good old fashioned price gouging being some but not all of the factors.
