I always envision the voice actors of the TV series when reading comic book dialog.
It would be such "What the HELL?" moment if they would have Greg Cipes doing the voice of the Last Ronin Mikey.

That voice coming out of that weathered Ronin Turtle face... but it would be glorious in the same way as the old Christmas special is. Please don't. lol

Per Toy World Magazine:
"a theatrical adaptation of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles The Last Ronin is in development, further expanding the Turtles' cinematic universe."

I honestly do not know how people overall will feel about getting a movie where 3 turtles are dead. Like I said before never read the comic but it’s not weird for that to exist. It’s a special story in a book series.
A Streaming or DTV adaptation makes sense too. There’s a lot of things getting wider takes it seems but a major movie release is so strange to me. Nothing to do with Mutant Mayhem either. I’m talking purely about the decision to make movie about 3 turtles being dead and one getting vengeance. In general whoever thought removing turtles would be the plot of a movie? Crazier if it actually did well and got a sequel...1 turtle TMNT being a thing.

*cough* Can't, unless you want it to be the new kids.
But I'd love for it to trigger prequal stuff. Even if we know how it ends, no reason it can't tell more stories of this set of Turtles in the decades before the 'Ronin' period, back in their earlier adult years. Quit trying to reinvent their teen years, jump to their adult years and a mostly blank slate to work with... If not movies, I'd very much support a Paramount+/Netflix series.
