If you’re tired of FW, take a time off; because the world clearly ain’t tired of it and wanting more.
I’m mainly familiar on Season 1 of FW and even I’m excited. Maybe it’s time for me to continue explore Season 2 onwards. |

The peak years of the show are seasons one through three, and then season seven, but there's great episodes here and there throughout the run.

I dunno, I'd say Karai has been around long enough she's been an established part of the mythos now. Outside of Mirage she had a major role in the 2k3 series, a major role in the Nick 2012 cartoon, a major role in the IDW comics, and she even appeared at the tail-end of Rise in the last story arc.
This isn't 1995 anymore when all Karai had was the Mirage comics and the SNES Tournament Fighters videogame. She's now been majorly exposed through 2 major cartoons and the longest lasting ongoing TMNT comic (IDW). I'd say most TMNT fans are familiar with her now. |

Karai was literally in the last THREE movies. She's not niche.

Karai was based on Lotus Blossom of the 1987 as confirmed by Kevin Eastman in a 1993 interview about City at War on where they drew inspiration so we just need to see Lotus Blossom come back, reveal her real name is Karai and Lotus is her alias like Shredder for Oroku Saki and we're done.

Good thing I wasn't talking about TMNT fans who'll watch anything am I? I'm talking about Joe Public. They don't give a s*it about her. Ask any of them and they wouldn't be able to tell you a thing she was in. |

Why not just set them in some sort of modern-ish era where we kinda/sorts don't acknowledge it's the 80s but only use modern technology when we absolutely have to. Like I think the 2012 show only dealt with a modern day phone with a camera once and they were never brought up ever again. Like the internet is a thing but it's barely mentioned or focused on even though the show takes place during a way more internet focused era than the 2k3 era. Ironically Back to the Sewers dealt more with the internet though it was more a 'let's use that there internet to relate to the kids, see, we're still cool' thing.

IDK man, I'd love a short stand-alone season or something.
My ideal season would be something short like... idk 8-10 episodes so the Shredder/Krang formula doesn't get too stale. I love the Karai idea, and having it end with her becoming a recurring villain. Have a few non-Shredder/Krang episodes but rather than being the lame scientists and mobsters, have the villains be stand-alone types like Leatherhead, Rat King, Baxterfly and Karai. IF YOU MUST reference some of the lame gangsters and scientists make them like the random criminals or thugs that the Turtles take down before the real threat of the episode begins, or have them team up with one of the villains. Like hell, have Leatherhead kidnap some of the scientists because he got some big plan but needs help of the science kind to help build it and stuff. Maybe an episode to introduce Scratch or Anthrax or whatever properly.

The only people qualified to write original cartoon episodes should be people who watched all 10 seasons at least 20 times each and have every episode memorized by heart. Otherwise it'll just feel like a parody trying to emulate its style like you usually see.

Speaking of formulas, how does Team Rocket going after Pikachu 20 years later still work? Their viability of a threat passed long, long ago. I guess the longer a series runs the less a threat the main antagonist becomes. I did not like the Red Sky episodes being just 8 apiece. I mean Shredder and Krang were a threat when their arsenals was taken and they had to rely on limited resources and cunning. Getting just 4 episodes and the 3 with Dregg. Shredder and Krang were at their arguable best. Maybe 13 episodes and not be in repeats by New Year's Day. I want to see a tone like season 8, but like season 7 have the more serious tone with a plethora of guest stars.

And like I said only show old tech if you gave to, not because 'heh heh, it's the 80s, get it?'. Though now that I think about it, since the turtles stuff is salvaged junk it would make sense that they have an old type TV, but april would own a flat screen.

A new Fred Wolf cartoon or a Fred Wolf revival? Obviously it wouldn't be for me and I would hate it. But nothing would be more eyeball-rollingly predictable to see happen since the moment Nickelodeon completed the 2009 deal.

Season 2 is good, but I would recommend season 7 for you since you are huge fan of season 1. Season 7 is the closest to the 1st season in tone and style (not counting the European vacation).

For me, Karai seems like quite an integral part of TMNT at this stage. In any new version of TMNT, I'm expecting her to show up in some form. It's probably because I grew up the with both the 2003 and 80s shows. She has made an appearance in most iterations of TMNT at this stage. Most people would be familiar with Casey Jones even though he barely appeared in the 80s show. Where I'm living, I was not at all familiar with the 1990 movie before I got into the fandom and looked up TMNT online in my teens. Of course, Karai isn't as synonymous with TMNT as Casey Jones is but I don't think that she's that far behind. There are only a few recurring characters that appear in numerous episodes across different shows.
