It's alright, but I've had a hard time remembering it exists, so can't really say it hooked me.
Had really hoped they'd replay all the eps so far on Halloween so I could catch what I missed, but of course they couldn't think of that. |

Andy and Kyle finally showed up on Episode 6. Overall a good episode but...

Wow so this tv show references pretty much all the movies? Are the movies worth watching taking into account I'm not huge into horror? I don't mind horror movies but they need to have a little more substance than just jump scares and gore for me to be entertained.

Nice. Hope they’ll get an even bigger budget too.
I noticed they used green screen for the shot of front house (that Tiffany bought) scene. I pretty much finished off Seed of Chucky, Curse of Chucky and Cult of Chucky after watching this tv series. Even if you don’t watch the movies prior, the story is still pretty easy to follow mostly. |

Beginning with episode 6 it definitely picks up directly from the end of the movies. Also lots of flashbacks to them.

I had this idea I think fits perfectly for the tv series...have Chucky possess a different doll.
It’d be cool to see another doll turn evil but that’s still Chucky inside and since he can split his soul and switch it gives the ability to play around with a new/different look without actually replacing the Good Guy.

I’m still mind blown that Fiona Dourif (daughter of Chucky voice actor Brad Dourif) plays Nica and young Charles Lee Ray in the flashback.
I never would’ve thought young Charles was played by a woman! That’s such an amazing transformation. |

It follows everything except the remake.

No....not really. If you've never seen any of the movies in the original series, there will definitely be questions.

Damn...
https://www.darkhorizons.com/chucky-...second-season/ Chucky has been getting 9.5 million viewers? That's, like... 9.5 more million viewers that any DC CW show gets.

Season finale was great. It really brought everything together.
My above idea is apparently not possible but it’s a good explanation. Spoiler:

I have to admit... the quality of the show greatly improved from 6 to the end of the season in 8, and not just because Andy and Kyle showed up (though it certainly didn't hurt).
Also, it's not too hard to imagine what Chucky 8 would have looked like as a movie if the pilot for this had been rejected. The first 5 episodes compressed to about 20 minutes and the last 3 episodes compressed into the rest, basically. With less characters, really, and that would've made for a sound film. Probably even with the same cliffhanger from the season finale.

Season 2 should bring back Karen and Mike Norris.
I’ve seen some people say they’d like to see De Silva and Tyler return. I wouldn’t mind seeing them but Andy’s mom and Mike make perfect sense. They’re both acknowledged in Curse over the phone. So they stayed friends or maybe got into a relationship. I’ve seen some suggest that. I just remembered this. Obviously fake. Must have been this guy’s fanfic but sounded pretty cool. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mN6ET80A0fY

Also that's probably Glenn's gloved little baby hand at the end. So... Glenn.

What? Kyle was wearing black gloves and Glenn would be much older now.

Glen was a small child at the end of Seed.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Glenn and Glenda, right?
Well, we see Tiffany somehow has a doll form again now, too, so we're sure to see "Classic Glenn" at some point.
