Are you a direct/blunt person or more the beat around the bush type?

I'd like to believe I'm direct. People have called me insensitive before for the way I say things sometimes.

Just one example is, when someone invited me somewhere and I didn't want to go I'd just tell them the truth. "I don't feel like going". And I was perplexed when I kept being told I was being rude. As if I was saying I didn't want to go because I didn't like the person who invited me. No, sometimes people just aren't in the mood to go somewhere. How hard is that to believe? I don't feel like I should lie and make up some kind of excuse.

Pretty blunt. I try and be as nice as I can when certain things need to be said but I also don't have a lot of patience.

Also very pragmatic. Like when my wife has a problem and I'm like "Well, you can do This or you can do That but crying about it isn't gonna change anything," I get heat for that. And people always tell me the whole "Women don't want you to fix the problem at hand, they just want to be heard and acknowledged," but I ain't got time for that sh*t at all. "This is wasting my time, let's just fix what's wrong and get on with it."

If I'm speaking to intellectual people then I'm fairly articulate with room for nuance and beating around the bush as a politeness measure.
If I'm dealing with bottom feeders or stunted people I'm like a bull in a china shop.
If I'm dealing with good people who are slow to compute but cooperative, then I'm exceptionally understanding.

Depends. Usually blunt, you have to be in my job if something isn't working.
