. and i'm also happy it looks ok in movement too... sometimes still good and movement good are two different things.

In 2000, I started experimenting with 3D Turtles. In 2008 I started experimenting with animation. In 2012 I felt it was time to try a project. Around that time, the 2012 turtle series also started. I thought it would be a fitting tribute to the series. my thoughts on that series got off to a rocky start, as I soon realize it wasn't being targeted toward me...and after a rocky encounter with the series producer, the ONLY turtle personality I have had a problem with in 20 years..my support of it gradually grew to nothing. among other issues with the show that just made it less enjoyable than other iterations. But, the Project itself went on. and now, 5 years later, and 4 complete 22 minutes done (Two Twice)....it seems fitting that for the most part this will end with the episode that it started with. The Big Rip Off. Final upload in a few days.

I know you put a lot of effort in this project, through the years I've been watching your constant and untiring work. I really appreciate it.
There's something that prevent me to fully enjoy it though and I'm sure this goes for the others here too.
Colors. I rember you once said you are color-blind (daltonic), right? There is nothing wrong with it and if I'm bringing this to your attention is only because I think what you're doing deserve the best.
While I can clearly see and appreciate your improvement in 3d modelling, I cannot help but be distracted by the colors. They look weird through my eyes (believe me) and this bother me as this, as I said, prevent me to fully enjoy your effort. It's a pity.
I think you should consider to get someone helping you with color correction or find a way to "copy and paste" the correct colors from the frames of the show you use as a reference.

I'm sure this will make your wonderful work more enjoyable for a lot of people!

i started out using screen skin grabs.... it made the characters look weird.

and using exact color matches from still shots is a problem because :
1- it's 25 year old colors from a blurred less than 720P image.
2- the lights from the CGI program will distort colors, so I will never get an exact match with my limited skills.

So, I just learned to go with what I think looks like a close match. but, being color blind, that will of course look off to others.

some people say Krang looks pink. to me, for example, he looks a bit more skin toned than pink.

Yeah, that's a tricky situation. Maybe you can pass your 3d models files to someone and have him correct the basic colors of the main characters at least. As for now even the turtles look very off. You can leave the backgrounds as they are if you want, but you definitely need to fix the turtles and April at least.

a finished weapons room. i now only need dons lab and splinters room finished.

A few minor splinter changes. got rid of the extra toe and made him a little taller.

Testing the new april face and hair. this might be as close as i can get.

I guess I might as well redoo break in and blow out since Rip Off was a MUCH needed upgrade. but these will be MUCH slower going than Rip Off was...where I basically got an act Break Done in rough form every two weeks.

But I'll be doing two at a time this time around and THEN figuring out where to go from there. eventually I will run out of show intro's to 'upgrade' to CGI. I think I m ight just concentrate on short scenes and CGI art. Smaller projects are more fun.

Final Big Rip Off upload coming today.
