A complete series box-set would be nice, just as long as we got a boxset of the complete '87 cartoon first...

I don't know how likely it is to see the new nick shows on blu-ray. The show is 100% digital so it seems like a no brain er to be on blu-ray. I don't know if Nick has ever released a blu-ray yet, or even if they care, seeing as target audience is so young.

It was animated digitally, sure, but chances are it's all standard definition so you'd still need to upscale the footage and there will only be a marginal increase in detail. Color reproduction will be loads better, however.

People should keep emailing Shout Factory about 4kids DVDs. They're our best hope.

I'm going to do that right now. Trying to collect the 2k3 series on DVD this late past its release is a major pain. The first season is easy to get ahold of, but season 2 is much harder to find and regularly goes for $30 plus used on eBay. And anything past that? It's all so fragmented and incoherent that I'm giving up altogether and hoping for a sensible, complete DVD release. But blu-ray, oh man would that be nice.

My dvr got full and decided to delete the last few episodes of BTTS before I watched them, so I am definitely in favor of a dvd release, but definitely prefer a box set release.

Your best option is to get the Australian releases, I grabbed myself a copy of BTTS Vol 01 - Something Wicked from ebay and Vol 02 - City Under Siege from some New Zealand site.
Same, even though I grew up watching the 80s show as a kid I prefer the 2003 series but I still love the 80s show though, the interaction between Shredder and Krang always makes me laugh |
