Issue 02 is for March 13 and issues 03, 04 and 05 will be delayed for sure. I don't think they will release 2 issues the same day.

Cool. They missed putting Urban Legends #11 in my box at the comic shop so I was hoping they didn't skip me on SiH #3 too.

Heh, I realized today that I keep forgetting this mini-series is still ongoing.

It doesn't help that we also have the ongoing, the Batman III mini, the Image-era Color Classics, and the return of Rise mini to keep my Turtle-senses occupied.

What will finish first: Shredder in Hell, or Doomsday Clock?

There is no chance in Hell that Geoff will have Doomsday Clock ready first, how many times has he ran out the clock already? Its already a reality shattering contradiction in the pages of Justice League with Perpetua that makes Doomsday not exactly fall in line with Year of The Villain.

I think Doomsday Clock is secretly really meta because by the time it's over, we'll all be dead.

I'd say the long wait between releases killed enthusiasm for this mini-series, which is too bad because most of it is good so far. But yeah, the "hype" is pretty much dead for it. Most have forgotten it's still going on, I don't know what went wrong behind the scenes for it to be delayed so much.

I can't tell if we're back to talking about Shredder in Hell or if that was about Doomsday Clock again.

I think Mateus is just a meticulous artist, especially when he has the majority of creative control like with this mini. I often ask for little head/torso sketches of characters from TMNT artists at cons. Most graciously take a few minutes and give me a quick solid sketch, but the last time I asked Mateus he really took his time... super detailed and thought out. Even after his signing was officially over and we were forced to leave the table he just sat down on the con floor with me and continued to sketch away, working every last bit of perfection into it, all for a little request just for me. This is just that case on a grand scale.

Sure his work takes a long time to come out, but it never fails to blow us away!

From what I've seen both issues 4 and 5 and listed for release on the same day (August 28th), has actually been confirmed by anyone properly?

What is even causing the massive delay? I don't remember Santolouco having these problems on Vengeance. Is he simply more in demand these days?

Is he maybe also working on issue 100 at the same time? That's a thought.

Definitely makes me curious. Although, once you open it up to the fact that it could potentially be personal/family/health issues, the possibilities expand tenfold. Hope it's just a lot of work on his plate.

Mateus may be working something else i'm not aware of, but it seems that he's just working on Shredder.

Keep in mind Mateus is doing everything on this, including script and color, so that's going to take longer than if he was just doing pencil/ink like on the ongoing. (Plus, i'd say that his pages in Shredder are more ambitious/difficult than anything he's done in the ongoing)

That being said, I think he'd be the first to say that he's taking longer than anticipated.

BUT #4 was approved to print last week, so you should be seeing it before August is through.

Anyone frustrated by the delays has a right to be, I would too. But i'm hoping the end product will be worth the wait.
