Slash - The Evil Turtle From Dimension X

Slash based on original cartoon appearance. Used original Leonardo base body, original Slash head/arms/legs. sculpted over everything using mostly Aves Apoxie Sculpt, and some Kneadatite green sculpt. Painted with acrylic paints and enamel paints. Toon Slash:

Im anxiously awaiting the neca one but as far as sheer accuracy this one is closer. The shape of the shell front and back, the thicker squattier body. The neca one is a redressed tmnt with the same shell as the turtles in time version.

I mean, to be fair to all, the very nature of a custom vs. mass produced figure means that the latter generally can't be as "perfect" as the former. The level of TLC and craftsmanship just isn't going to be there on a mass-produced figure.

But Jesus, do I love customs. Especially ones that are as sharp as this one.

Funny the first thing I notice when they revealed the NECA Slash is that it is the same body as the turtles so I thought the head looked a bit oversized for the body, that's why when I made the custom I wanted to be sure he was bulkier than the turtles. And of course the shell pattern, definitely had to study the cartoon design well, it is tricky!

Thanks for the compliment! It does take me a great amount of time and dedication just to get one custom done, I couldn't imagine the challenge of mass producing, especially highly articulated figures like NECA.
