'Disenchanted' (an 'Enchanted' sequel)

Disney is finally moving forward with a sequel to its hit 2007 musical film Enchanted. The development of this project goes all the way back to 2010. Amy Adams is expected to reprise her famous role as Giselle and the film will this time be directed by Adam Shankman (Hairspray). Filming is expected to begin summer 2017. Plot details also surfaced today:

Ugh. Another needless sequel. Leave a good movie alone.

I forgot to say earlier that filming is expecting to begin summer 2017, but I added it into my original post. If there is one thing I'm concerned about when it come to this project is that if we are going to have scenes in Anadalasia, Shankman doesn't has any experience in animation at least from what I know about his credits. Kevin Lima was the perfect director for the first film because he directed A Goofy Movie along with 102 Dalmatians. It was wise of Disney to have someone who had both animated and live-action films direct it.

Am I the only one that outright loathed the first one? I thought it looked a'ight from the previews but when I finally saw it there was nothing I found entertaining.

I often wonder if I just missed something since it seems to be a favorite.

I like the first one except the ending. Giselle should've went with the prince, not with that killjoy pessimistic New Yorker twat.

Adam Shankman says that the script for should be done within a couple of weeks. The next step will be to get the songs written and this movie will feature a lot more than in the original. Plus, it will have the same amount animation that its predecessor had.

Kevin Lima, the first film's director, will have no involvement with the sequel.

Shankman confirmed that Alan Mencken and Stephen Schwartz will return to write songs for the film. He's also been in touch with Amy Adams and the cast. So far, they really like what they see for this project. The script is going to be turned in very soon.

I don't think a bad movie should get a sequel lol. Didn't the first film flop if I recall? That's like saying lets make a sequel to Quest for Camelot, and we know no one is touching that ideal lol.
