Wow... I had no clue about that.

I was going to say maybe it's because of the age differences, but Shioli Kutsuna is only 3 years younger than Rila Fukushima. Weird. But then it's not like they bothered to have Vinnie Jones voice the Juggernaut or anything.

Just saw the movie now for the first time, it was great. I'm glad they didn't spend too much time in the prison which I feared. I somehow avoided spoilers all this time that Juggernaut was in the movie so I was shocked to see him, I'm glad they got more use out of the character. Loved the X-men cameos and Collossus is amazing in the movie. Everything else that was said has already been said, but I literally burst out laughing at Deadpool going back in time and killing himself from X-men Origins: Wolverine, then himself again looking at the Green Lantern script.

"Fixing the timeline" seems to be a running theme with these X-men films. I mean I know it's all a gag, but it's funny to see how all these X-men movies try to fit into continuity with each other.

You just made me second guess everything in life. I would have bet money that John DiMaggio voiced Juggernaut!!!! DiMaggio voiced Marcus Fenix in Gears of War and Bender on Futurama. Juggernaut sound so much like Marcus Fenix I swore it was DiMaggio voicing him!!!!

A PG-13 version of the movie is being released this Christmas. Maybe this part of a strategy to eventually incorporate Reynolds' version of Deadpool into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

I saw the extended cut on home video, and the only thing that bothered me was
Spoiler:
the baby Hitler joke.

It just seemed so crass and mean-spirited, even when compared to the rest of the film.

The movie had some interesting themes overall, though. I would have liked to see more of both versions of Cable's future.

Didn't this already happen with the King's Speech and it bombed? It's like what they did with The Wolverine but in reverse.

I’m curious what would be the difference to the original that merits this re-release. Merely toning down won’t really attract people would it? I mean, sure the kids are gonna come but what about the adults that have seen it? Eh I’d probably go watch it again too lol.

R-Rated ‘Deadpool’ Movies Will Continue at Disney; Other R-Rated Properties a Possibility

I'll believe it when I see it.

Forgive me if I don't have supreme trust in a corporation that had to turn Thanos into a roided-up Intergalactic Ra's al Ghul simply to avoid repeated mentions of "Death" in a movie.

We'll see.

I actually prefer the movie Thanos over comic Thanos.

Fascinating.

Entire novels have been written about how balls-out ridiculous his "plan" was and how many reasons there were why it couldn't possibly work. It's bananas. Being romantically in love with the physical embodiment of the Grim Reaper and hoping to impress her via universal genocide may be ridiculous, but at least it had a snowball's chance in Hell of actually working as intended.

Movie Thanos, apparently, neither passed Statistics nor Junior High School Science. And forget about Theoretical Physics, advanced or otherwise. It's a shoddy, shoddy plan. And it wouldn't work. Some people tell you he's literally the Good Guy of the movie! Those people really need some Edumikayshun.

And no "But he's 'The Mad Titan'!" rebuttals. Comic Book Thanos is "The Mad Titan". Movie Thanos is an idiot who doesn't even understand how things like Ecosystems and Inflation work on a basic level, let alone a cosmic one.

To be fair to Movie Thanos, though... it's entirely not his fault that most screenwriters aren't well-versed in such things, either. But they should at least expect that a lot of people who do at least read books would go, "Hmm... nah."

Simplest explanation is almost always the correct one, Watson.

I mean, it absolutely can happen, and if/when it does, then good for everybody. Disney "corporate" has always released adult fare under other labels. But ultimately, they wanna cross Deadpool over with the other guys and put him in the proper MCU mix, so no matter what they say, it's almost certainly going to "confuse and divide the audience" if they have R-Rated Deadpool antics in one movie that isn't released under "Disney/Marvel", and then have him show up totally neutered in an Avengers movie that does have that label.

They can, and may, try and do R-Rated super-heroes. But I feel that it's more likely that they'll maintain PG-13 as the cap for their super-hero fare rather than try and push the envelope. "Venom" conclusively proved that fans would much rather simply dial down their expectations and standards a little bit, and go along with what a studio deems acceptable, rather than die on the "It needs to be Rated R!" hill. If they wanna see the movie, they'll support it regardless of if it's "watered down". Disney knows this. Nobody's going to riot if they make a PG-13 Deadpool or X-Force movie, and they're definitely not going to stay home.

I predict they'll stay within PG-13 for simplicity's sake. It's what's in their best interests, ultimately. BUT, by all means, if they wanna surprise me by making an R-Rated CBM division and really committing to that, then good for everybody. I believe that it's not their job to determine which content is acceptable for anyone, rather to simply create content and let the appropriate audience find it and respond to it.
