I believe he is doing payment via paypal. He's also working in the order he receives payment.

I caved too, my first commission, only specified that Mike & Shredder be present, the rest is up to him. Excited to see what he comes up with.

I don't believe its the # of characters in the picture, but the size of the picture that really matters. Additionally it is the medium (sketch vs painting), and b&w vs color that makes a difference price wise.

But if you have questions, just ask Craig (A.C. F) he was really nice and will explain everything.

Hey shogun, when did you email him, and when did he respond? Starting to get nervous

Although of course I don't expect him to reply today, I hope he does tomorrow

I emailed him on the 23rd at 1030 AM and he replied around Noon.

He did mention to me that same day, "It may take awhile since I have quite a few of these to do suddenly. I'm going to do them in the order that I get payment."

Geez I wonder why he's so busy

Don't worry he'll get back to you.

I emailed him at around the same time

I wish there was a way to make sure my email didn't go in his spam folder or anything lol

Well, I'm taking a chance. I just emailed him. Hopefully I'll get a response, as many who emailed him early on still haven't gotten anything. Here's hoping.

No guarantees this is the case of course, but I imagine it might have to do with how much work you're expecting of him.

I suspect the same.

Most of the artists I've dealt or communicated with have had similar pricing. Con sketches can range from free to $50. Standard commission pricing for single character are usually $80-$125 for the first character and $50-$75 for each additional character, inked with simple or no background.

Jim Lawson, who is one of the most affordable tmnt artists to commission, normally charges about $300-350 for a 6 character b&w piece. If I had to guess, Farley would probably charge $500-600 for a 6 figure. I would sooo love to commission a painting from him, but that'll probably run me a grand.

Ha, it's a bit soon for that methinks, but I share that same excitement, mostly due to the fact I am reminded this is happening! Very cool.

I just hope to get a reply. I know he's busy now, though, so it's probably going to take a little while. Hope to see some nice artwork on here soon.

If it serves as a good benchmark, I waited over a year for that two page spread from him for TMNT #25.

Yeah... I've been thinking about that. I'm hoping that was just due to pressure he may have felt due to doing work to be printed, work of characters he'd not touched in 15 years or so. He's done a buncha turtle things since then, hopefully there's very little rust to brush off on the 'ol drawing hand. I don't mind a wait of course, but I do mind not being in the know...
