I wish we'd have gotten this instead of the last game, which was a lightweight far less scary remake of the EXCELLENT Doom 3 (which was a remake of Doom 1). Now we finally get a new take on "Doom II: Hell on Earth," with Earth being ripped apart and demons everywhere. I love it.

What makes you think this game is going to be scary, it looks like its going to be arena heavy as the 2016 version. Also the 2016 version isnt a remake of the 3rd game and has more in common to Doom 1 and 2

I don't mean scary in the sense of what scary was in DOOM 3, where it's almost Resident Evil-like scares in claustrophobic corridors (which I really LIKED, actually). I mean more... general atmosphere and freaking huge demons and craziness around every corner.

Well, DOOM 3 and DOOM (4) are both reboots and remakes of "Ultimate DOOM" (all 4 episodes of it), if you want to be precise. DOOM: Eternal is definitely both a sequel to DOOM (4) and a remake of DOOM II.

Not many liked Doom 3 however. The 2016 version was bringing it back to old school Doom. Which was fast paced. You can have scary and be fast paced at the same time. Doom is about running and gunning. and being a total bad ass. Its not really about the scares.

Eh personally I didnt care for it, whenever I wanted the directions it was written in a demonic language and the audio was an imp screeching. As a GPS its below average though 2016 was a great FPS

I read that the SJWs are pissed off at this game over some jokes.

What are you talking about? It was popular enough that they made an add-on for it, "Resurrection of Evil." And multiple ports to consoles.
