Same could be said for the second story in this year's FCBD issue which takes place shortly after the church lair is introduced, but I'm wondering if that'll be collected with the Nightwatcher FCBD story (possibly with the 40th Anniversary stories too) in whatever form "Volume 19" ends up being.

They can simply include the two 40th anniversary stories as "flashbacks" and just put an editors note between which issues they take place. They can simply be included in the next collections after 150 too for that matter.
The point of these collections was to collect all "canon" issues and stories, so it would be a shame to leave anything out. Anything that isn't crossovers with other properties which aren't canon, or the Black/White and Green mini, etc, should all be collected. |

There was also an IDW story in the 30th Anniversary Special from 2014 that I don't think has been collected anywhere.

Arguably the only things that have been skipped are the Infestation and second Usagi crossovers.

I think they're just waiting to slot the Usagi crossover in later, it doesn't really fit with the Armaggeddon game and then the Armaggon arc happening back to back. It can be placed anytime later.

Just to be clear, my intel only goes so far as volume 18 and even Sophie doesn't know if she'll be kept on for the covers (I'm leaning towards a no in that regard).

The FCBD, 40th and Alpha stories being in either.

Ah, wasn't aware of that. I started my collection with the TPBs and the 30th Special isn't referenced at all in the first IDW Collection's description. Must've been lost in the shuffle like the FCBD issue in Volume 16. Gives me slightly more hope that they might actually include the Archie story from it in the upcoming Compendiums, then.

Would it be possible to update the first post in this topic?
I would like to have an easy access to the issues that were not collected. Thanks in advance |

My copy of Volume 16 has finally turned up.
The spine is little bluer than the preview images and the ribbon is a deeper purple than those with volumes 4 and 12 (I wasn't sure before but I can now tell that there's been a change of ribbon material since volume 14 along with the better/ thicker paper that has been in use since then) The running order is as follows: Annual 2021 > #125 - 130 > Opening Moves #1-2 > Annual 2022 > #131 - 132 > FCBD 2022. I have updated my list on the chronology thread to reflect this. Curiously the icons for the Punk Frogs arc on the chapter pages (with the exception of #125) aren't from their respective issues like they normally are (including the rest of this volume) but instead are taken from throughout the arc - #126 & 128 are both from issue 125, #127 is from issue 130, #129 is from issue 126 and #130 is from issue 127. One final thing of note is an edit to the FCBD issue; on the last page Venus' frog arm has been removed to fix the continuity error it previously caused (as discussed on page 17 of the chronology thread).

Nice reporting Hypered. I'd give you a "like" if this site allowed it.

So one thing I've been meaning to ask is if anyone can place this image from the front of Volume 1. I've gone over the early volumes a dozen or more times and this is the only image that I just can't find where it came from:

In case anyone was curious about the edit I mentioned.

Not exactly. I was fortunate in that when I cancelled the listing said that there was one copy available via a third party seller and could be delivered Wednesday 7th (ie: today), so I took the gamble and it paid off (Not to mention it was lower price too, so win-win).
Currently the site says that Thursday 15th is the earliest delivery date as Amazon is for whatever reason having massive shipping delays getting pre-ordered books over from the US; the Sourcebook hardcover says delivery will be on Feb 5th, a week after release, and Volume 17 currently states delivery will be April 23rd a full three weeks after release. Basically it's just Amazon sucking like usual.

I suspect after The Last Ronin II concludes, they'll put out a huge hardcover for the whole Ronin series, The Last Ronin, The Lost Years, and Last Ronin II in one big collection as well. I would hold out for that if anyone is picking up collections. I still expect the second Usagi crossover to be collected eventually, Usagi was even in the IDW Sourcebooks so they consider the crossovers with him canon.

I will add the caveat however that there may some mention in the fourth sourcebook, although it's main focus is events in Mutant Town. (oddly Amazon is saying it's out next week instead of next month as I've seen elsewhere)
