I take one look at Rocksteady and think "Altered Beast final boss"

You know I just realized Bebop is wearing a visor instead of sunglasses. His whole look is like something from the future.

Rocksteady meanwhile looks like from the prehistoric despite the army pants. Could Bebop be from the future in this series?

Interesting theory. There's supposed to be a lot of dimension hopping in the future, so that or time travel could come into play. Looking at him with that in mind, I'm actually wondering if he's a Neutrino, or from wherever they are, because his fashion seems reminiscent of theirs.

To quote Mikey, Bebop's design seems "very Kraangy"...

We already have Xever being Brazillian. Bebop is supposed to be a New York style black guy. He's a homeboy.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed Rocksteady looks like he's from the past but Bebop the future.

Agreed. Although that's how I felt ab the turtles themselves for a long time (that they were too stylized). That show has a way of going a bit too far. Bebop, however, is too skinny. It looks ridiculous based on the fact that he is a warthog. Also, he does look Kraangy.

Maybe he'll eat a couple of turtles and fatten up a bit!

Yeah, Bebop's just doing the healthy dieting thing right now. If these guys hit enough bakeries, he'll fatten right up. Turtle meat would help too. Anyone got Gamera's address? He's made of turtle meat, right?

I hope they're not too incompetent, or else Shredder will be an idiot for keeping them around. Sure Xever and Chris always lose, but it's due mostly to the turtles' skill and luck (that and they're the good guys), but its not because they're downright stupid.

Bebop looks like he stepped out of an episode of Tron: Uprising but I like their designs.

I hear ya. It'd be interesting to see them allot meaner in the 2012 series. Yeah, I just can't see 2012 Shredder keeping them around if their dumb as a box of rocks.

Either that or Shredder is going to devolve into a whiny bitch with a bag of insults....

Why do people keep asking that? It's the same thing before IDW's Bebop and Rocksteady debuted.

of course they're going to be more competent in this show than the old one, that's common sense.

I'm a big OT fan, but having these two (and if they become significant characters) would be pushing the claim even further and further, that the Nick series is more or less a derivative of the OT series, especially now with these two iconic dumb villains. If I wanted to see so many OT references/tributes/elements, I would rather just watch the OT then.

**Sigh** How about this Nick series actually develop its own unique villains a lot more, like Rahzar and Fishface, first? Well, I'm assuming their introduction will be near the end of season 2 or somewhere in season 3. So we'll see... but it's not like this show hasn't been a disappointment before...
I definitely agree. This show needs to stand on it's own two feet and it's won characters. I don't mind once-in-a-while odd homages to 80's toon, but when we just had a literal 'cameo' in Wormquake? Me thinks the writers might not much confidence in this show, or that they think adults need constant 80s references to stay interested.

However, their bios list them as morons. I'm hoping the Shredder thinks these two aren't worth his time and so 'disposes' of them in short order. Otherwise it will just look weird if he keeps amassing all of these mutants, and for what reason? It would just get annoying, that's for sure.

The more I read the bios, the more I see they're just describing the OT versions for people that for whatever reason didn't know they originated from it. So who knows what lies in store for these two in this version.

That's what I thought too. Especially since the description continually says how they fail Shredder's plans and that never happened in this show yet. Not to mention they mention the 80's show.

I'm usually on board with the nick characters, but these designs suck.
