Their Star Wars and Avatar game sold poorly due to licensing costs. No idea why they tried to work with Disney who takes a huge cut (as Sony revealed with Spider-man 2).

All they really have as a guaranteed money maker is Assassin's Creed. Rayman is dead, Splinter Cell is dead, Beyond Good and Evil is dead, Prince of Persia (outside 2D games) is dead, Watch Dogs is dead, etc. Almost all their big franchises are done besides Far Cry.

Licensing costs have nothing to do with sales. Low sales mean nobody bought much. We know why people didn't buy Star Wars Outlaws and I just started playing Avatar myself and it SUCKS.

They still have to sell a huge amount to make back the cut to Disney. Star Wars Outlaws sold 800,000 copies in just a week and that is still considered a huge loss.

And it's barely at over 1,000,000 after over a month now. And it seems like it has flatlined. Which is a huge loss even outside of their licensing fees to Disney.

This is 2024. They aren't making, like, Tetris here.

They really only have Assassin's Creed now. It's amazing how they let all their previous big franchises completely die.

About that...their new one is catching *huge* flack right now. It will probably be a bust as well.

It is really sad that they didn't do more with the Rayman franchise. Rayman Legends was one of the best 2d games ever made in my opinion. Didn't Ubisoft also make the Southpark rpg games? Those games were absolute masterpieces.

Crazy how Rayman and Splinter Cell are both dead. I remember those two series being somewhat big when I was a kid/teenager.
