Apparently the comic book movies of 2020 are just Birds of Prey, New Mutants, Bloodshot (the Vin Diesel movie), and Wonder Woman 1984. And a bunch of "who cares" animated stuff.

Yeah, that's admittedly a tough few movies to award accolades.
For me? Best Movie: New Mutants. It wasn't great, it wasn't even particularly "really good," but it seemed solid enough as a film and on a script level and seemed to be the movie it set out to be. When it was over I just kind of shrugged -- I wouldn't mind seeing sequels to it, or these characters again, but it wouldn't really bother me if we didn't either. Best Director: Patty Jenkins. While WW84 has a horrible script, pretty much everything on a technical level and visually was sound enough. While I don't care for Jenkins' vision personally that doesn't mean it wasn't executed well in line with it. Best Actress: Gal Gadot. She carries all of WW84 and came within striking distance of saving it. Almost. Best Actor: Jeeze. I don't know. That's a tough one. Certainly nobody in WW84. Going out on a limb and assuming nobody in Bloodshot, either. Yet, of the 4 movies... nobody is male that's a lead character except... lol... I guess Vin Diesel as Bloodshot just wins it by default, right? Best First Appearance: Anya Taylor-Joy as Magik. I'd never heard of this character before but I'd seen the actress in the Split/Glass movies. For what wasn't a very great movie, she was really memorable as Magik. I'd have loved to have seen her go all-out in like a proper MCU movie or something. No, Birds of Prey doesn't deserve any awards for anything. Not even costumes.

  I respect what FW cartoon did for the turtles franchise but it is the most overrated and hard to watch of the 3 turtles cartoons. |

Like, "We want you to subscribe to CBS All Access... not HBO Max or Disney+." But they don't really have anything of their own to award that's a comic book movie.

I am so incredibly envious of Margot Robbie, who's mostly famous for flashing her tits and beaver in a Leonardo DiCaprio movie where he snorted cocaine off of her tits.
