Finally read this issue and been wondering. What's the deal with the female mutant gazelle?

Maybe the gazelle is actually the boy's sister and he's standing in the way of her inheriting their father's criminal operations? I don't know, silly thought that just came to me.

My oh my, what sharp skills you have in the field of deducing when a character is lying or trying to manipulate others. Who could ever think a page where the character has a twisted smile, says something ominous about another character, has a pair of giant goons backing her up and throwing aside her alleged son's keepsake, would imply anything but good intent on her part?...

Truly, none but the brightest, most attentive reader could ever figure that out!...

Spoiler: She had Jennika find her son and give him a note she has written. The son then gives Jennika an action figure of a mutant to give to his mom. Jennika meets with the gazelle and gives her the action figure from her son. After Jennika leaves two mutant goons show up with the gazelle. I suspect she's not really the boy's mother. But someone who wants the boy killed for some reason. Due to the gazelle's reaction. Something doesn't add up. __________________
